Buffet was way over priced and our waitress was rude. Food was very bland and very little choice. Food on the floor.

The casino can get pretty smoke filled. I prefer the smoke free Illinois casino atmosphere but do stop if in the area. They have a large selection of games but the machines seem tighter than many places. I do like the layout tho.

My understanding is that this was the first casino in Minnesota. Sadly. It's failed to keep up. Its rather small and seems warn our overall. If you want a slow going and quiet no-frills place, come here.

Casino is pretty large but is very smoky, as most casinos seem to be. Only a small non-smoking gambling area. We don't gamble much but would've been nice to have a larger selection of machines in the NS area.

Stayed here for a Lions convention this past weekend. We were promised a nice place with clean rooms and good service. They more than met those goals. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and super polite. The casino was generous (to a certain extent) but a little smokey. The meeting areas were well laid out and easy to get to and from. One great point in favour, a Cariboo Coffee outlet in the hotel lobby.Well worth staying here.

This is a nice drive on state rd 19 west, about two hours from the Twin Cities. Beautiful farms, interesting water towers and little towns along the way. Jackpot Junction casino/hotel in Morton is a smaller than most other casino's in Mn. The hotel is a little worn, beds not to good and really needs some linen updates. Pretty inexpensive though for a room. There's a nice bar with weekend bands and they have some different shows there on occasion. The one show I brought four sisters and an auntie to was a male review. When the 60 ish lady next to us lifted her shirt (no bra) and flashed the young dancers I decided that was enough of that and left. Not sure what I expected but really? The slots here are old and after a while it gets kind of boring. Restaurants are not that great except for breakfast which is ok. Bring snacks. Gift shop is very nice, love the spices they have for sale. Nice staff. Better for a short afternoon outing.

We signed up for a Players Card and the staff was helpful explaining the benefits of doing that. For instance we received $2 off coupons for the Dakotah Restaurant or we could have gotten a coupon for the buffet. The casino is a good size with machines starting at a penny on up. There were some tables also. We were told they plan to remodel it soon. My only complaint is that smoking is still allowed in casinos.

There are a few good bands in the area that would do well in the lounge, but I don't see them on the schedule. I know these bands have contacted the entertainment staff and obviously been cold shouldered, yet I see some sub standard bands on the schedule. So, what's the deal? Hire someone to get some talent in there. Some of these bands on your schedule really suck.

I think Jackpot Junction probably just needs to put some money into renovations. We saw Loretta Lynn here. The show was great! The Dacotah Exposition Center reminded me of a high school gym, but the acoustics were still OK and we had a great time at the show (we had nosebleed seats). Bartenders were totally great. After the show, we played blackjack and lost. But that's OK. We still had a great time!

Stayed and played for 2 days and it was 2 days too many! Slot are very tight. Penny machines dominate the casino, not enough variety of nickel or quarter machines such as five line machines. The few that are there are outdated and stuffed in a back corner. Only 2 in main area and they are $1 five lines. Coffee in refreshment area was horrible!Left there and drove to Mystic Lake Casino, much better. Although five lines were limited there as well, the casino was laid out better, more modern, staff was professional and it felt cleaner.

Very poor, spent nite in hotel, tue nite not busy but got crapy room . half price dinner only after you lose $ 160. Buffet was terrible. worst part was the heavy blanket of smoke in casino. thought would be nice nite away with wife, should have stayed home. TV in room was best part.

I like to go their early in the morning. 2 3 in the morning. No costermer service. Only 1 cashier for all the rooms. No drink person to offer coffee or pop. Rest rooms, way out dated. Tile old and cracked. Stalls marked with garifity. Carperting, always a lot of scrap paper on the floors. No person to take coats etc. Looks like they are just interest in making money and not putting any of it back in to the upkeep.

Just saw Chris Young at the Dakota concert venue on 03/22/13.The show itself and Chris Young were awesome! But, the staff and venue were crappy. I spent extra $ to purchase 1st row seats.I wanted to up close and personal with the artist. Most of the show it was awesome, besides the large gals next to me......its all good, they were enjoying the show!!!Near the end of the show though, the staff allowed people up to the rail and blocked our view.I confronted the security guard about this and asked if he was going to let these people block our view.....after we paid extra for these seats and the others did not.His exact response was "I can't do anything about it".I said, "you can tell them to go back to their seats".No resolution.DO NOT pay extra for front row at this venue, as it means nothing.TOTALLY LAME staff and their small town inexperience shows, to the dismayof us experienced concert goers.Crap place!
