Our family went on 2 fishing 5 hour charters with Captain Bryant. We had the best time ever! Captain Bryant has the nicest cleanest boats bar none on Lake Michigan. He is very knowledgable in finding fish and fishing technique to get fish in the boat. I would highly recommend Vans Catch to anyone wanting the excitement of catching BIG king salmon and rainbow trout. Can't wait to schedule another outing next year. Vans Catch is OUR go to guy on Lake Michigan!

This was my first time fishing on Lake Michigan with Van's Catch. It was an incredible adventure. Eighteen lines in the water with six of us fishing. Captain Bryant consistantly got us on fish. His experience on the lake is very much evident. He is quite personable, getting to know us and telling us his story of how he got started. His equipment is top-notch and very clean. His enthusiasm is contagious as he gets about as excited with a fish on as we did. He is purpose driven from quickly getting the lines in the water to making sure we were completely enjoying ourselves while out on the lake to expert cleaning of our daily catch. The package deal he was offering also made this a very affordable mini-vacation. We had great fish stories to tell back home and I can sum up our fishing trip with two words: Whoo Hoo!

This is my second time fishing with Van's Catch. Captain Bryant is one of the best skippers around! He is very knowledgable of Lake Michigan and has great people working for him.My family of six went out salmon fishing for two 5 hour charters. 1-6 PM on Thursday and 5-10 AM on Friday. Captain Bryant and his first mate, Zach, worked hard to find fish. We caught 15 Thursday and 9 Friday. There were 6 of us on the boat. We ended up catching king salmon, lake trout, rainbow trout and cho ho salmon. I can not say enough about the professionalism of the crew. They were so eager to help us land the fish that we hooked. Captain Bryant is as excited about seeing "fish on" now as he was 15 years ago. He truly loves his job.Captain Bryant kept our lines in the water so we could try to catch ONE more fish 30 minutes past our allotment and we got that ninth fish. I know most skippers would have headed back to the marina an hour earlier than he did!If you want to catch fish AND have fun doing it, you will not go wrong with Van's Catch in Port Washington. My family will definitely be back and we're hoping to charter both boats next time.
