Jordan (our hostess) met us with a large smile and a big hello as we entered the shop. We decided to try their mixed flight of wines to be tasted. We really enjoyed the wines and ended buying the ones we liked. Jordan then allowed us to taste their sparkling wines and they too were great. We bought two of their Bubbly! We highly recommend a stop in their shop to taste wines and enjoy the atmosphere. We will be back!
Prepare yourself to enjoy some really great wine at either the winery or their wine bar. The staff is very knowledgeable about the wines and the region. If you want to experience bubbles through port this is a should not miss in Oregon Wine Country. Join the wine club and you'll never be far away from a great bottle of wine.
Wonderful wine bar, friendly , informative help and friendly, welcoming local crowd. Wine is also great! Enjoyed very much !
After hitting several tasting rooms and a vineyard, we wanted to go somewhere that had food. I tried the everyday house wines tasting flight and it was excellent. Paired with great meat and cheese it made it soooo worth it.
Our server at R. Stuart & Co. wine tasting room was friendly and attentive. She obviously knew a lot about her subject. We loved the Big Fire pinot noir and brought a bottle home with us!
This was a cozy place to sit, have wonderful wines and meet new friends. R Stuart & Co. needs to be on your list of places to visit!
We had a wonderful time. Everyone mingled had lots of wine and had big dinner of crab and all the extras. This is the second R Stuart venue we attended and were pleasantly surprised by it because it exceeded our expectations.
Stopped in for a wine tasting (had a coupon) and we were treated like valued guests. Our wine pourer was charming, pleasant and knowledgeable. The wines aren't bad either -- middle of the road on price -- they do reds best. The server gave us more tasting coupons and sent us to a couple other great wineries. McMinnville itself was a great place for lunch and wine tasting.
You might think the Willamette Valley is all about pinot noir and you'd be correct for the most part. Broaden your horizons and you'll experience other great wines. Rob and Maria Stuart make wonderful Reisling, Pinot Gris and even a Bubbly. All this and well-crafted Pinot Noirs along with delicious snacks and fabulous staff.
There are so many wine tasting rooms in McMinnville. R Stuart is worth having a place on your list. The passion of the winemaker and the knowledge of the staff pairs nicely with the very nice wines here.In addition to the reserve wines they also make "wine for the other five days of the week" Big Fire is what can make wine and everyday thing at my house.
This is a great little wine bar with relaxed ambience set in downtown McMinnville, the heart of Oregon Wine Country. Spend the day exploring the shops on 3rd Street and then relax here at R Stuart for a refreshing glass of Pinot Gris or Pinot Noir and enjoy tasty bites too.
This is the place to go with friends for that get-together over glasses of yamhill county pinots. There are many wine bars in McMinnville to choose from, but this is the standard of excellence and value.
One sip of their Pinot Gris, and I grabbed a bottle. SO good! The customer service was excellent as well, ladies were very friendly and let us just hang out at the bar as long as we wanted.
You might miss being at the vineyard when you stop in the wine bar R. Stuart has on NE 3rd Street in McMinnville, but your experience will likely be deeper and more satisfying because of the staff. We visited late afternoon on the day of the main street car jamboree (the exhaust gasses were terrible and didn't aid the tasting.) This annual event packed the streets and choked the air. That said, the Stuart wine bar was hopping. The knowledgeable staff offered two flights...then they threw out one and created their own of 4 vintages to prove a point. At $20 it was spendy but oh so delicious. She rolled out some of the highest priced offerings and challenged me. It proved the best way to experience Stuart's art. We purchased more than I would have otherwise because I really knew what was in each bottle. The small plates offered are excellent and you have had a true wine tasting rather than lapping at splashes in cheap glasses.Plus, being in McMinnville adds a dimension that you miss just rolling down 99W and stopping at every blue vineyard sign.
Went with the family to taste a selection of wines and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience especially having the chance to speak with rob Stuart himself. Try his Rose wine - one of the best US rose wines I have tasted.
