Went to the Pollard/Territorial Christmas because my wife was given tickets. Didn't expect much--after all, it is just an old, small theater in Guthrie. What we found was an excellent performance of and old classic. Probably not an every year experience but one we will be back to.

We LOVE, LOVE the Pollard! We have been here numerous times and have always had a great time. It is small, quaint, and intimate while providing OUTSTANDING performances and sets that rival some of the productions we have seen in OKC and Tulsa main theaters. We have season tickets to the Broadway shows in the metro area, and still enjoy this tremendously (as much, if not more than the bigger venues). "A Territorial Christmas" is a MUST to open the holiday season. We drive from about 1 1/2 hour away and still say this is definitely worth every second!! Our teenage son will pass up an evening of hanging with friends to attend a show at the Pollard (and that is saying a lot, lol). We eat at one of the nearby restaurants and have a fun family time. The restrooms are clean and since the venue is small, it is easy to get in and out during intermission. Snack bar is reasonably stocked and priced for this type of venue.LOVE, LOVE this place!!!

The Pollard Theatre boasts a professional theatre company with year-round productions. We've enjoyed fantastic productions over the last 20 years. We find the production of "A Territorial Christmas Carol" to be a superb: Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" (with Scrooge) set in early territorial Oklahoma is a great production. With the orchestra, special effects and moving stage scenes (stage moves and turns and this is amazing in this historic theatre), this is definitely a production to see. We have enjoyed many live performances in this beautiful theatre. The theatre is historic, but the facilities are updated without taking away from the charm of this masterpiece venue. The Pollard has a beautiful lobby leading to a large theatre, with large rocking theatre seats, easy accessibility and the view of the stage is great anywhere you sit. Intermissions in the performances allow an opportunity enjoy refreshments, a cup of hot chocolate in the lobby with the 20+ foot Christmas tree ready for Christmas family photos, of course, at the December production. Even though it's historic, you can order tickets online or by phone. The theatre has a "will call" window to pick up tickets ordered. The Pollard Theatre is a treat - a special destination during the holidays. Before or after the performance great dining is everywhere and while walking to or from dinner it's hard not to stop and visit one of the many antique stores. Many stores are closed on Sunday. The genuine history in Guthrie as the backdrop for the Pollard must be mentioned. Great family/friend trip just 10 miles north of Edmond/20 miles north of Oklahoma City. We drove to Guthrie in July just for an afternoon day trip so I could photograph the Pollard and other historic sites (and visit the antique stores)!!!

The Pollard cannot be missed! This is the only full-time professional theater in the state of Oklahoma. The productions pair with Broadway! Artistic director Jerome Stevenson is a genius! So many quality productions you cannot believe! It is well worth the short drive to the historic town of Guthrie, just north of Oklahoma City about 20 minutes. The upcoming season is fantastic! Make your reservations now!

I live in Guthrie and unfortunately I rarely take time to fall back in love with my hometown.Upon entering the Pollard for the first time in 10 years I was instantly taken back to happy memories of a much more relaxed time. The caliber of talent is amazing! I saw "Passing Strange" and I felt like I traveled right along with the Stranger in this much loved performance. Truly something you must experience - I just hope they're able to bring it back again, such a great journey!I can't wait until the next time I'm able to slow down and take in this beautiful theater again!

Went with my wife this past Sunday to see "The Miracle Worker" because a friend of hers was the lead. Nice little downtown area to stroll around, although not much was open at noon on a Sunday, and then took in the show. I enjoyed the production, the theater was comfortable, and I the 1920's artwork on the walls added a nice touch. We will be going back to see A Territorial Christmas Carol as well as see some of the other businesses and museums that weren't open.

I enjoyed the play that I had seen. It was last Christmas I seen Scrooged. I would go back to see another play.

I have been a long-time fan of The Pollard Theater. Its current productions of "Passing Strange" could not be any better if it were in NY, London or anywhere else. The theater consistently performs the highest quality of plays of all types. I am grateful for its talent and grateful I discovered it for myself.

"Off Broadway" professional theater in Guthrie, OK. Some of this professional theater company's actors were included in the motion picture, "The Rain Man," which was partially filmed in Guthrie, starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman. DON'T MISS THE BEST IN THE WEST OF LIVE THEATER.

We have visited this theater on a number of occasions. The local talent in Guthrie is surprisingly wonderful. It is historic and partially restored and has a lovely small town atmosphere. A treasure. Seating is reserved. Dress for the productions will range from very casual to Sunday dress. While you'll see predominately business casual, there will be a few who attend in cocktail attire. Intermissions during the plays you will find a table set up in the lobby selling wine and soft drinks. Attendance varies a great deal. The Christmas Oklahoma version of A Christmas Carol sells out well in advance, but is not by far their best performance. Parking is on the street, so you will want to arrive early enough to park close, especially in the winter months. Many of the shops in the historic down town area will stay open later when a play is running. So come early enough to wander through a few of them prior to curtain time.

The pollard continues to excel at their production quality of outstanding theater. I try to attend a show whenever I am in town. The actors are top notch and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. It is worth the trip to see.

Love the fact that The Pollard is still in use, lending itself to the continued Victorian-era of the town. The night we attended "To Kill a Mockingbird" the attendace was very good. The old theatre was clean, has interesting "rocking chair" seats, and has the feel of "times past", like you should be in a long dress and arrive by a horse drawn carriage! I have attended a number of performances in The Pollard and never been disappointed.

Located in historical Guthrie Ok, this theater does present good local talent. We try to make one of their plays at least once a year.

This small theater has a nice quaint feel. Some of the content of the play was mildly inappropriate - probably okay for teens, but might need some discussion. Would definitely go again.

If you haven't been to the Pollard Theater for a performance you owe it to yourself to do so. It's a step back in time to see the painted walls and you can almost imagine organ music coming from the front. I have been to several plays and musicals and have enjoyed them all. The Territorial Christmas is a treat for the whole family.
