This is a great family experience for those of us living in suburbia to really get a little glimpse into the farm life. It's not too big, so even little ones or those pusing strollers/pulling wagons can get around the whole place without too much walking. They have various farm animals on display, many of which can be touched. Pigs, cows, sheep, etc.... you can even milk a cow! They have different programs at different times of year, such as planting and harvesting. On one visit we got to learn how bees make honey and then taste some real honey! The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. They put on exhibit shows such as the "working dog" show where you can watch a dog herd up the sheep. Don't wear nice shoes! And it does smell like a farm, so be prepared for that. Dress for the weather as you will be outside for much of the time you are there.

We lived in this area all these years and finally decided to visit this farmpark. They were having a special event with antique tractors, and it was a beautiful fall day. AAA gets you a small discount, but not too expensive to begin with.We walked the corn maze, took wagon rides with both a tractor and horses pulling. We walked and took time to see the animals, sample the fall harvest items like cider and soup. We had lunch in the on site cafe. Would love to take my grandson there next yr when he comes for a visit.

I visited for the first time in May and again at the beginning of August. Lake Metroparks continues to please me. What a great opportunity for people to get close to animals. Our son is too young to appreciate a lot of what the farmpark has to offer (tractor pulled wagon rides, ice cream, etc.) but we had a WONDERFUL time just walking and visiting the animals. You can reach out and touch the sheep, goats, cows and horses--rabbits and fowl too! They also have sanitizer stations for those who hesitate to let their little ones be so hands-on.The facility is beautiful! There are a variety of activities inside the main building: including smaller play area for the little ones, any of the exhibits the farmpark may have set up, and even an on-site restaurant. There is also milking of dairy cows at set times if you'd like to observe that as well.We didn't exhaust the opportunities to learn, but our son certainly was tired out. We plan to visit again soon.Do make sure to note that they have two free admission days for Lake County residents per month. It is a bit more crowded then, but is a great chance to see the facility and decide if you'd like to become members or schedule a day to come out and pay admission.

All the metroparks are great! This one is unique and everyone enjoys getting up close with the animals. You can milk a cow, pet a horse and watch demonstrations. They offer special events all year long.

If you are looking for ice cream, other sweets for the sweet, play with animals, take wagon rides, enjoy nature up close including the bees...Then this is your park to be...Took a tour and really enjoyed the interaction with Farmpark personnel and volunteers...Yes many of the tour guides and presentators were volunteers who all have a specialization in what they were presenting...With the fall season coming up you have the maple syrup season coming up, Halloween if you celebrate, and everything in between...The ride is roughly 40 minutes from Downtown Cleveland...Right now evey weekend in July is an ice cream social...you can participate in making ice cream the old fashioned way churn style (Mmmm ) then enjoy the great benefits afterwards including adding on your favorite toppings from strawberry and butterscotch to rainbow sprinkles...Yes I highly recommend Lake Metroparks Farmpark for family fun or the naturistic individual one may be...Have fun

We stopped by here to pass a morning on our annual summer road trip. We wanted an activity that would wear our kids out before we spent several hours in the car. The Farmpark certainly fit the bill! Our kids were excited from the minute we arrived and we spent a long time in the indoor play area that had ride on tractors, a train table and a little slide. There were enough toys for a lot of kids and I think they would have been happy to stay there a lot longer. We enjoyed a tractor ride as soon as we went outside around the whole farm. We spent a lot of time in the barns. Our kids loved the horses and goats! Everyone enjoyed a pony ride. There was more we could have done, we left before the sheep dog demonstration was over - but what we saw was great. The restaurant on site was a little bleh and expensive, but overall this was an excellent way to pass a morning.

We needed something to do and decided to head out. It was a nice visit (I am not sure I would go often) and we even got a chance to milk a cow! Kids had fun. Worth a visit.

Looking at places to visit on our route around the states, we fell upon this educational farm. I am so glad e did, the staff are friendly and seem to really enjoy teaching you about the different animals and how farms work. There are several 'shows' including being able to milk a cow or making icecream the old way (which takes some muscle!). If you are in the area I would definately recommend a visit.

This is one really unique and fun trip. As soon as you pull into the driveway - you get your first glimpse of cows, sheep....growing corn...the lake, the ducks, the big barn and silo! Once you get in...there are educational kiosks to tell you the cool adventures that await! The arena! The milking display is amazing...kids of all ages really love it. Have lunch there...learn all about growing vegetables, farm animals, and more. One of the best offerings ever. Don't miss the Lake Metroparks Farmpark when you visit Lake County.

Lake Farm Park has seasonal events; but it is fun all year round. Halloween hay rides are great! Christmas lights the same. Wine fests and concerts just to name a few special events. Kids can see farm animals born, groomed and fed.

Great place to visit, for the entire family. See their schedule for events. I live about 5 miles from the park and pass it every other day. They have a wine fest every year. Most of the wineries are from NE Ohio although many other regions are represented.

We don't go as often as we should. This is a lovely setting that hosts special exhibits and events. A quilt show years ago was fantastic.

Their annual quilt show is amazing. If you are a lover of textiles or just want to celebrate winter's dwindling days, this is the place to spend an afternoon with a quick break in their eatery! Don't forget to take a peek at the cows and other animals.

Well-run farm park. Always things for the kids to see. Plenty of places to walk. They do a great job of event-planning throughout the year, so never disappointed.

We visited the Farm for the fiberart show. It is very nice and we enjoyed seeing all the artwork, the vendors who sold weaving and fiber craft supplies and more. It is a nice park to visit.
