Excellent service, food, staff and views of the golf course and surrounding hillsides are wonderful. Must stop.

After reading terrific reviews on Trip Advisor of the lunch at Rutland Country Club, I suggested it to a group of six friends. It was the best place for us to meet. The setting was very relaxing and perfect for conversation. The food was fresh and delicious. Several of us had lobster rolls and were very pleased with our choice. I recommend it very highly.

Although I have never golfed there, I have been there for drinks, lunch and dinner. The food and service has always been quite good. It is a great location, the menu has a lot to offer and food is consistent and the prices are very reasonable. It has a lot of room to hold social events, etc. and is in a great location.

Basically, its mostly club members, but you can walk in and be served. The staff is very friendly and competent ..that says a lot.The food is wholesome, tasty, ample and fresh. Its a bit out of the main part of town, but well worth the effort to get there.The bar is quite nice, and during the day you look out onto one of the greens and a scenic fairway.If the weather is good enough , you can be served outside.

The restaurant is open to the public. It offers very well prepared food in a very pleasant setting for a good price.

Rutland CC is the best course you can play in the Rutland area. It might seem short at 6100 yards but it takes accuracy and a great short game. The course is 100+ years old & the greens are as difficult as any you will play. If you are in the area you should make a point to give it a try. You will want to play it more than once! Baxters restaurant is a great place for a cold beer & some food, either after your round or for a nice dinner on the patio overlooking the golf course. The staff at the pro shop and the café are professional and very courteous.

An excellent course and always kept in pristine condition. Rutland is a great course for everyone and challenging. A river runs through it and every wants to run to the river. Keep that in mind.

Golf club atmosphere made if different and fun. Restaurant was buffet and food excellent. If we had more time we definitely would have played golf here.

This restaurant is across the road from the Antique B&B where we were staying, and is open to the public. We began with the home made chicken and corn chowder, which was delicious and then I followed this with crab cakes, a dish which is often rather bland, but having been told that it is a specialty of the chef, I tried them and was not disappointed. My husband had the fish and chips which were excellent – high praise from a transplanted Brit! The service was good in spite of the fact that the restaurant was very busy after hosting a golf tournament. The drinks were very good value.

There is something for everyone here. From salads to hot meals to excellent sandwiches, this is an easy place for groups to all get a satisfying meal.

I don't play golf but I enjoy watching the golfers from the outdoor tables at the clubhouse restaurant. The food vconsists of sandwiches, salads, burgers, and a few hearty plates, and is of good quality. I enjoy this as a "different" place for a leisurely lunch.
