As someone who just moved to South Beach, I found the tour very informative about the Jewish influence in South Beach. Howard was very informative and easy-going. The food stops really made the trip special. It is hours later and I am still full from the food.

This Museum is excellent! It is free on Saturdays with a great gift shop offering many beautiful from Israel. The tour guide is excellent walking you through all the exhibits and explaining all about each one. Photo taking is allowed. Very educational for everyone!!!

A great history of the the Jews that built Miami and much of Florida. The history of Meyer Lansky who was the "accountant to the Mob" is fascinating. Also it was interesting to learn that the famous Mt Sinai Hospital was started after WWII a by Jewish doctors that returned but we're not allowed to work in the hospitals. Lots of great exhibits and photos from the past 200 years. It's an hour well spent.

This is a small museum highlighting Jews in Florida. There is a short film which is a good overview and then permanent and temporary exhibits. The gift shop has some lovely items. I was so happy to have this experience while in South Beach

We were part of a pre-arranged group tour that began in the Jewish Museum of Florida and encompassed an easy walk around the neighborhood. As one of the planners, I can highly recommend the professional staff of the museum, that helped us arrange this activity. Nancy, in Group Reservations, was excellent, accurate and accommodating - always ready to make our afternoon a success. We began at the Museum with a brief synopsis by our volunteer docent, Howard. I cannot say enough in praise of Howard because he was knowledgeable, interesting, personable and hard-working. He took us around the area, stopping briefly to give us historical background and then arranged for us to go into restaurants with Jewish connections, for a quick nosh. The combination of eating, walking, blue skies, fascinating facts and gorgeous weather made our 3 hour tour a joy. We had a great time, full stomachs and lots of fun.

Not being Jewish ourselves, we wanted to learn more about the people and culture that had such a strong influence on the Miami area. We arrived mid-afternoon, paid a modest fee, and were surprised to receive a personal guided tour by very friendly and informative lady who was an Indiana transplant. She tailored the tour to the one hour that we had available by giving us an overview and relating some of the more interesting stories. Much more time could be spent as there were many exhibits that we didn't have time to explore. Be prepared for a metal detector search before entering. Very worthwhile.

Enjoyed this 3 hr food walking tour of the neighbourhood around the jewish museum. Our guide, Howard, helped us to see the area as it had been in the 1930s when jewish businesses and culture flourished. He is well informed and made the tour interesting. Food-from 4 different business was yummy and varied, from borekhas to fallafel to rugelach. Well woth the $.

We did this Jewish Food walking tour with Howard . Tour was extremely interesting and Howard was a great tour guide. Tried food from 4 different restaurants and a surprise treat supplied by the museum. Food was included in the price of the tour. We can highly recommend this particular tour

We had a really nice visit at the Jewish Museum, and an interesting talk about the history of the Jewish communities in that part of Florida. The museum is housed in the oldest synagogue in South Miami Beach, and has an interesting exhibit of the history of many of the people who lived there. There was also an art exhibit. There is a lovely, well stocked gift shop!

I enjoyed the beautiful history displays, plus the guided tour is awesome. The guide was very well informed, and provided perfect historicalreferences, to all the monumental events, of Jewish history in MiamiBeach, since arrival in the early 20's.Personally I visited as a personal quest, to find my Jewish roots, never would have imagined, it would feel so refreshing. Like I finallybelong.Second surprise, was the art available for sale, prices are extraordinaryand the beauty of it, is exquisite. I purchase a few of the dolls, and I'mjust in love with them, in my living room.SHALOM

Very nice people and quite interesting. I could have done with more artifacts and less information. The security getting in was a bit heavy but I'm sure that it's necessary.

We visited for the first time and thought it was very good. It is relatively small, but crammed full of interesting items. An hour here should do, no more than 2. There is a friendly tour guide who seems to do a continuous loop around the museum and you can join and leave the tour at any point.Free admission on Saturdays.

It was good to visit, learnt a lot about Jewish religion, specially about Jews who came to Florida. It has a museum as well.
