The driving range is great when you try to hit those impossible small greens in the lake. The balls float back. Course is well kept. Need to be a member or be invited to play.

We stayed in a home at River Strand Golf & Country Club. The home was amazing and the grounds are beautiful and well cared for. They offer a golf course, driving range, tennis courts, a gym and a fabulous clubhouse pool where you can order food and drinks as well. We spent some time there almost every day of our two week stay. We highly recommend staying in a home in this area if you can!

River Strand is among the elite golf courses in the Bradenton-Sarasota area. The course is exceptionally well maintained and provides a variety of challenges for the average golfer. The staff is very friendly and the Grille has good food but a little slow. Be warned; the course can be challenging but fun. I would recommend making sure you are using appropriate tees.

If you want to relax this is the place to go... you can play tennis, golf or just relax by the pool (make sure you get a frozen drink! perfect for the hot days). * You need to be a member to get in.

If you are looking for a challenging course this is your place. 27 holes, lots of sand and a LOT of water. The greens are fast. If you want to be humbled, this is your course. Love it

Challenging, great service, friendly. This course is always in great shape. Prices are reasonable. Be sure to play there before it goes private!

We stayed at VRBO for a week, and we did not purchase golf pass ( around $200). It was a big golf community. There were some constructions in the community, so some neighborhood looked messy. The main swimming pool was large and opened limited hours. I wished that it would open expanded hours. Food could be expensive and tasteless at the clubhouse, but we were not allowed to bring food or beverages to the clubhouse area. Golf lessons were limited, so my son did not get his private lesson as planned. I think it is an average golf community, not as prestige as what it has claimed.

A fantastic course and very testing! The fairways are great and the greens so very tricky. From drop off to finish the team that work is superb and well rehearsed. A must to play if an avid golfer....so enjoyable,

There are three nines there and you play a different combo every day. Not sure which nine I like the best but all are challenging. Course is generally in excellent condition. Enjoy!

Played this in May & had a great time. My golf buddy & I invited another friend to join us & we all had an excellent time. The course was in great shape even though the greens were still recovering from being punched. Never had a bad experience at this course. Our buddy was running late for our tee time & the starter let us waitfor him to show up & let the other groups go early that was already there. Awesome staff..........

the facility is beautiful. The clubhouse looks either Tuscan or from Napa Valley. Very pretty. The staff was very welcoming, helpful and courteous. The practice facility was nice. The fairways were overseeded with ryegrass and very beautiful. The greens were pretty fast and smooth. This is a challenging but fair golf course

well maintained course. summer rates are great! restaurant has great food with a lot of choices too. It's a long course and very challenging. It has 27 holes and you can play 9 if you wish,.

This is one of my favorite golf courses. The fairways are wide and well manicured. the greens are fast and contoured. We played Sanctuary-Estuary. Sanctuary is a very friendly course for intermediate golfers. Estuary then goes ahead and eats your lunch. Both offer their own challenges to the intermediate golfer. Overall, there are not a lot of hazards. I did find an answer to something that has been bothering me for a while. That is: how can two people review a golf course the same week and one loves it and the other hates it? We hooked up with another twosome at the course. One of the guys thought himself to be a better than average golfer. Halfway thru the first nine he announced that the greens were "absolutely terrible". I asked why and he said because they were too contoured and he was used to sticking the ball on the green. My philosophy has always been that a golfer adapts to the conditions of the course, not the other way around. These greens were a 10 stimp and rolled true. I quickly learned to hit in front of the green and roll on. The staff is super helpful. Even the ranger that told us on "16" that there were two holes open in front of us (nobody behind us) and please pick up the pace. We reminded him that there had been two twosomes in front of us an were actually a little ahead timewise (they rate this course at 4.5 hours and we played in 4 hrs 20 min). He just repeated "please pick up the pace". The starter is always cheery. The sandwiches on the beverage cart are mostly bread and very dry, SAve the $6.50 + tip. The cart girl came around 4 times during the round. Better than most courses.

Played course on May 12th & it was in great shape. Nice & friendly staff. Fun course to play. Play time was perfect.
