cypress breeze farm trail riding

If I could rate this organization a "0" I would. It was a horrible experience from the beginning. I was looking into starting horseback riding lessons for my 4 year old daughter who absolutely loves horses! I had called and left messages for a lady named Monika about 3 times and did not receive a phone call back. I finally had to call St. Petersburg Carriage Rides (who partners with Cypress Breeze Farms) to let them know I have called Monika and left 3 messages and no response. Finally, a wonderful gentleman was able to help me and got in contact with Monika to call me back. Once I heard from Monika I was impress with her friendliness and signed my daughter up for lessons on a Saturday morning. When I asked her what time do they started lessons, I was told the earlier start time, the better - so we choose 8 a.m. in the morning. When we showed up for my daughters lesson, we were greeted by a elderly gentleman, who scolded me for parking in the mud (please keep in mind there was no signs about keeping off of the mud) and told me he didn't appreciate me parking on the mud. Once we got settled in with the parking situation, I was approached by Monika who said she had no appointments scheduled at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday that we had scheduled her lesson for and that she had a wedding in Tampa she had to be at in an hour. I told her that we spoke on the phone a couple weeks ago and was told the earlier the better for my daughters horseback riding lessons. To end it all, I told her we would be looking into another place to start my daughters lessons. Our experience was very unprofessional and not friendly at all....you'd think having a business you would be very friendly or at least offer a alternative day and time for lessons or at least apologize for the miscommuncation. Will never go back to this place to say the least.......

This is my third time and first for my husband. As usual, the horses were the best behaved and well kept I have seen!. And the ladies are always willing to make our experience the best. I love this place and recommend it to everyone who wants to horseback ride. We will doing in again hopefully right after Christmas. Keep us the great care and excellent customer service.Marie

We are sorry that you found this experience below your liking we are a small operation and take pride in customer care and satisfaction. In the case of this group the two horses were at different speeds Leo is slow and Angel is fast, which is why there was a gap. When we had the guest sign in, she did make it clear that she had riding experience and so the guide encouraged her multiple times to squeeze Leo and have him trot and join the other horses, to which she would not. I wish that you would have approached us and let us know your displeasure with the guide, she is just now 18 and very talkative that is her nature and in general people love her. She believed that she had done a good job because she received a nice tip from you both. We will remind her to pay better attention to the guests on the slower horses in the future and make sure they are doing OK.As far as our trails go we do live in a city but the trails are nice and the fact that such a cool pocket of horse farms and trails is here impresses our guests. Both experienced and none experienced riders.

I love hearing that you had such a great time we love what we do and want to include everyone in the experience. This horse heaven is so close to the beaches it is great for travelers to be able to get away from the beach and experience another side of Florida.

We took my 12 year old daughter for her first ride. The experience was wonderful, she had the best time. The horses were wonderful and the staff was welcoming and great company. The ride was was on a great trail and could not have had a better time.

Hadn't been on a horse in years, but it didn't matter since the folks at Cypress Breeze made everything so easy. They have a mounting block that's more like a mounting elevator! Great for these 71 year old knees. My 9 year old companion couldn't stop smiling and I couldn't either. Just a wonderful experience. This is easy peasy trail riding for all ages and experience levels. You won't be disappointed.

I loved my trail ride with Cypress Breeze Farm. My horse was responsive and our trail guide, Monika, was informative and pleasant. Everything was very professional. The stables were well maintained and the horses healthy and well cared for. It was obvious that Monika cared about the safety of the riders and the well being of the horses also. That means a lot to me. At home I ride twice weekly and whenever I go on vacation I like to take a trail ride. It's a great way to see the area, learn a little more plus I get my horse fix. We made a reservation for the afternoon of Valentine's Day. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately, filled out paperwork, paid, and our horses were ready to go. Very efficient, and very professional. Our horses looked like they were well cared for. I have never been on a horse before and my partner only once before. They reviewed all of the basics and we were off for a 90 minute ride! The ride was very nice...lots to see. Even as a beginner I felt pretty comfortable after a few minutes. Our guide made sure we kept a good pace (we were all pretty much beginners). I'm sure they would also be excellent with more experienced riders! When we returned, they even took the time to take our pictures with our cameras, which was a great touch! I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

Me and my mum were on holiday in st petes beach over christmas and i found a leaflet for the trail ride, my mum is not horsey and doesnt ride i own a horse here in london and needed my horsey fix after not seeing my mare for 2 weeks by then! So got my mum to come along she rode leo who was an absolute saint and matched perfectly to my nervous mum i had clue who was also a saint but a little more cheeky and very nosey! Despite it being freezing we had a great time and learnt all about the area and even came across someones pet zebra! I took some carrots for afterwards and went into the barn and met all of the horses there are all sorts of horses from 18hh percheron to a miniature. Highly reccomend this if you want happy horses to ride! It is a leasurely walking trail if you want to gallop off then look elsewhere.

My 15 year old daughter and I had a wonderful time riding horses in Pinellas Park. Our guide Monica, was wonderful. She placed each person with a horse according to their riding ability and experience. The horses were well taken care of and the ranch was very well maintained. We had a wonderful, peaceful ride through Pinellas Park and learned quite a bit about the area from our guide. We even got a tour of the barn and the other horses upon our return. I will definitely go back. I could not have asked for a more perfect day.

We had a wonderful experience horseback riding with Monika. Locally, I looked around for a very long time and talked to several people on the phone before I decided to go with Monika. Monika is passionate about the quality of care regarding her horses and that was a big plus for me. The horses were sweet and beautiful and they looked well loved. We were at all levels of riding and were given horses that suited our abilities. We will definitely book another session with Monika the next time we plan a horseback riding experience.

Tucked away in Pinellas Park you will find this little slice of horse heaven! Cypress Breeze Farm Trail horses use the beautiful trails and equestrian back roads protected and maintained by the county. Your ride will take you through a variety of parks trails, dirt roads and grassy areas to walk or trot with your horse. I went with my 2 daughters, 18 and 19 and the 3 of us had our own private guide. She was very knowledgeable about the horses and the area, and was the perfect trail guide. Ride was over an hour long and cost $50 each, which I thought was very reasonable. I will definitely come back and ride again.

Wow- I have ridden at over 2 dozen such places and I have to compliment the staff and horses here. We read reviews and hoped this was the place to go. From the time we pulled up and saw our horses already tacked up,I knew the phone call I made was worth it. The staff had truly listened to our general requests; well selected horses to match with our individual riding skills. The scenery was spot on fantastic and especially awed my northern guest. All the flora and ecological wonder of FLA was evident and even some wildlife showed itself. The owner and guide Monika was fantastic!!. She was eager and energetic, and VERY KNOWELDGEABLE. She knew the land layout beautifully, was able to alert us to any and all nice things to see around every corner. She made sure we enjoyed ourselves and her personality was magnetic. It was definitely worth the longer trip for us to get there and the reasonable price per rider.

Okay full stars right? yes... I'll explain why. My wife loves horses and I try to make her as happy as I can, so I end up exploring things to do and this one nail it on the head. Its a little horse ranch in the middle of a really nice area inside Pinellas Park (dont be affraid its just 4 min from main hwys). the first thing i noticed was super clean stables, and fat horses ( i say that in a good way) should probably say well fed. Then all around smiles and friendly atmosphere from entire staff makes you feel right at home. From there you met your carefully chosen match ride, I do warn you its not for galloping... (*that can hurt the horses and they will not do this there) You come out of location and take an hr walk in the equestrian trial of the area, see some wildlife, go around a few local ponds (try to find the gator) and most of all you get to breath fresh air and connect with nature... helps you relax and remember why you came here in the first place... again if you came to run a horse at full speed, go to the track! Monika (guide/owner/horse trn/etc) talked to us about anything we asked, from local watering holes, to local nature, to Florida life (we just moved here and have tons of questions). What a great experience! BTW they are the only ones in the are that offer this service to public, and also run the nightime carriages in downtown St Pete... Thanks Monika! Easy 5 stars!
