I've lived in Florida for 3 years and never saw either of them. And this wasn't my first time paddleboarding! The tour was fun and Marissa knew where to spot Dolphins and manatees. It's rare to spot either of them, but we did! Every time I go on a tour, it doesn't disappoint!
Tour was fabulous! Marissa is so sweet and so knowledgeable - she was able to share so much information with us about Munyon Island as well as all the marine life in the area. You can tell she really loves what she is doing and being out there to share it with others. She was patient and took her time, stopping to let us take photos and show us different life in the area. We saw manatee, giant starfish, sting rays and spotted eagle rays!!We worked our way around the island and it wasn't too strenuous, you will have to work a bit through some of the currents but it's something anyone of any age could do. The water is nice and shallow and the boards have a lot of leverage to help keep you balanced. Can't say enough positive things about Marissa and her Eco tour, we really just had a blast! It was my husband and I along with a mother and daughter and a father and daughter and we all had a great time! I know we will definitely be back!
Marissa was a wonderful tour guide. She was great with instructions and very patient. She also gave us a lot of local history which was fun to learn. We will paddle again with her on our next visit!
My wife and I went on a two hour eco tour of Munyon Island. Marissa was a great guide who really was informative and helpful. We plan on using SFP again when our family comes to town for a visit.
Super easy sport for a first time on a paddleboard. Beautiful 2 hour tour with a break halfway. Tour guide was very nice. I Will be doing this again. Next time I'll take my 5 and 8 year old out. The little one's can sit on a parents board.
Spent a morning on an eco tour with Marissa-and it's the best way to see lots of birds and fish, and next time manatees.
I took my dad paddle boarding for the first time and Marissa was a great, knowledgable guide on our eco-tour through the mangroves. We had so much fun and we will definitely do it again!!!
Marissa is an excellent guide. She's patient and knowledgeable, and allows you to explore without being hurried. A very nice experience and reasonably priced. We thoroughly enjoyed it!
What a fantastic company to spend time with. We enjoyed our day exploring the bay, and even getting time to enjoy a real island. Our guide was excellent, and would spot sea life and shared stories with us about the history of the area. I must say that stand up paddle boarding is a lot of work, so be prepared to get a work out. Even though we were supplied with a bottle of water, I would suggest bringing an additional bottle for the tour. Our two hour tour was close to three hours. This is a must do for anyone who loves the sun and the water.
I went paddle boarding with my husband on Monday and we had such an amazing experience. The wildlife and scenery are beautiful! We even saw a mom and baby manatee! The tour guides are so knowledgeable and sweet they did a superb job! I would highly recommend South Florida Paddle and we will be returning for our next tour soon :)
This was my first time paddleboarding and I will definitely go again. Had a great time spotted manatees, sting rays and hermit crabs - great trail through the mangroves with a great guide.
My girfriend and I took our kids paddleboarding this morning (ages 8,9,10,and 12) We had a great time. Marisa was a very good guide. Even though it rained on us (felt good), and the wildlife was scarce, the kids had a blast. Thank you so much!
I have never paddle boarded before this trip. I took my cousin who was also a beginner. They guide was friendly and knew her stuff. The tour was beautiful and we saw stingrays, star fish and manatees. I recommend this trip for all levels of paddle boarders, but is was especially nice for beginners.
We had never paddle boarded before. My wife took to it much better than I did. I took unintended swims three times in two hours. The course of this tour is nice for beginners, as there is lots of still water in areas sheltered from the boat traffic. It was more difficult when we spent about 20 minutes in areas with boat wake.We saw manatees, rays, and a number of different birds, fish, crabs, and sea urchins. The tour was about two hours. We rounded one of the islands in the park and then paddled into the island's internal mangroves. The tour was challenging, but not overly strenuous (the real challenge is balance).Overall this was both a simple beginner's experience and nice wildlife tour. But be prepared to get wet unexpectedly.
We did the eco tour at MacArthur State Park and Singer Island and it was amazing! We believe it's something everyone should do once in their life. Unfortunately we didn't get to see any manitees, but saw lots of stingrays, crab, and fish. Two hours was a perfect amount of time and it's well worth the money. It's a bit if a workout, but not too much that all ages cannot do it. The mangrove trail was really cool! Small waters are given free to each person when we took a break on the island. Marissa took pictures with a camera and her GoPro and made them available for free in the site Facebook.
