My girlfriend insisted on taking me (her Midwesterner) in Trimpers. She grew up vacationing in Ocean City, but I didn't understand. She will NOT go on amusement park rides with me. Then we got inside, where the little kid rides are. I laughed and loved that place until I had tears in my eyes. There are little kid rides in here like you've never seen and they're all still thrilling the kiddos! There are the motor cycle go rounds from my 1970s childhood. That was a blast from the past to see all of those twirling lights and hearing the little buzzer horns. But there are also older, much older, rides like little boats in a real, water filled moat, a tiny ferris wheel no taller than about six feet high and this little whip ride that made the babies scream with delight. When I really started to tear up is when I looked at my girlfriend and could see the same delight in her eyes that must have been present when she first rode these very same rides. If you're not an Ocean Citier from way back and your significant other tries to pull you into Trimpers - go!!!!Oh, and BTW, there are PLENTY of modern rides to thrill the grown ups there too.

Trimper's has been around so long, it's just part of the Ocean City nostalgia. And who doesn't like to end the season with a ride on the tilt-a-whirl, regardless of your age!

Trimper is no doubt the better of the two parks. First they have indoor and outdoor kids rides. Second while they lack the big stuff (expect Tidal Wave) their ride lineup does have something for everyone young and old. They even have a shooting gallery. Now due to the small space they have they aren't a big theme park but do well with what they have.

We walked thought this park and thought is was a really great place to bring small kids. The outside part was closed, but the indie rides were still going. We had fun watching the kids.

More to do for younger kids. Friendly staff. Very helpful. Games were fun, Barkers were hilarious and the rides staff was very nice and sweet to the kids.

Our family spent our vacations at Ocean City Boardwalk during the 1960s, so we took a nostalgic trip and hit our favorite attractions on the boardwalk, one of which was the Haunted House. Since Halloween is just around the corner, we thought it would be fun to experience the ghosts, ghouls and goblins of yesteryear. The Trimper family had updated several of their staged items and it was definitely worth the four dollar fee. It was a treat to enjoy this blast from the past. All ages should give it a whirl!

My kids grew up going on the Trimper's Rides while vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland. It's like stepping back in time to an old fashioned amusement pier. They have a beautiful carousel and other rides that we all grew up with.

BEINERGIRL

Cute amusement park for little kids. It's mixed with more updated rides outdoors and they keep the old fashion rides indoors, which are okay, but getting old to say the least.

I've never been one for going to amusements by the shore - odd being a Jerseyite, you might say, but true. However, I opted to hit Trimper's rides with the little ones based on the reviews I saw and the fact that it was geared to a younger audience. The indoor rides section was great for my 4-year old daughter. You will find immaculately maintained classic rides from the early part of the 20th century contained within. She went on many of them by herself and had a great time. The vintage 1920's carousel was quite beautiful with a veritable menagerie of animals other than just horses to pick from. I'd recommend getting the band for unlimited rides indoors and out before 7 PM. Outdoor rides open at 3 PM and the last week of August is very quiet, especially mid-week, so you will have no wait for rides if you make a mid-afternoon visit, or if the flies are bighting down at the beach.

The whole family really enjoys going to Trimper's Amusement Park. They usually have a pay one price ride all day option. Which is great if you wanna keep the kids happy.

Just to see my grandchildren enjoy the "up and down" as their parents before them warms my heart! My grandson could ride all day and all night!

This amusement park was a lot of fun. For under $100, we were able to spend several hours riding rides and playing games. It was neat to see the lights at night, and in the middle of July, it really wasn't *too* crowded to still enjoy yourself. If you are looking for a small amusement park on an ocean Boardwalk, this one if pretty good. It's still a little on the "make shift" side given that it's not a major theme park, but it was fun nonetheless.

This was a nice stop on a rainy day. The rides had good prices which was nice but they were super old. My son had fun, he didn't care. So that was good enough for me.

Visited this place during our extended Labor Day Weekend getaway from New York City. We stayed closeby so a nice walk along the boardwalk to Trimpers was a joy. Trimpers is definitely a no frills old school amusement park. It was perfect for my 3 year old who likes the easy going rides. This place kind of filters out the teenage and young adult crowd. It is perfect for children under 10 and thats all who i saw there. A lot of the older rides were mechanical, which was cool. I loved to see the gears and mechanics functioning. Tickets for the rides were very inexpensive, 50 cents per ticket with rides varying from 4 tickets all the way to 8 tickets. Most rides have minimum heights that you can ride by yourself, and then another height requirement if accompanied by an adult. Adults do have to pay for their seats on the rides though. A ride operator was even nice enough to allow my girlfriend to go with my son for free because he was a bit scared. The staff is very helpful and friendly, which is a big plus when dealing with children. An overall great experience, the only downfall is that its not somewhere that you would spend for long. A lot of the rides are classic spinning or rotating and can become boring after some time. I'd say about 2 hours or so. Don't plan on spending a full day there.
