There didn't seem to be much to do there, but we only went for a short visit in the afternoon. The little shop was closed at the marina.

We went to Lake Leatherwood to hike on two different days. The first day we had trouble finding the trails we had read about and wanted to try out. We ended up hiking to The Point on Fuller Trail. The Point was pretty and peaceful, but the hike itself wasn't very interesting, so we turned around at The Point and went back. We talked to someone that evening, who told us that there are better hikes starting from the soccer field. The second day, we hiked the Twin Knobs trail. It went up high on a bluff. In February, it was pretty, but once the leaves are out I doubt that you could see much. It was a nice hike, but not spectacular. It would help if there were better trail maps and a better description of where to park to find the trailheads. The lake itself was pleasant. It is a no wake lake and it would be fun to return with kayaks. One word of caution, a person at the resort we stayed at said he would be hesitant to explore it much in the summer because they have a snake problem.

Wonderful hiking grounds around the lake and beautiful little no wake lake. Perfect for canoeing and kayaking. There is also bike trails around the lake. Great family spot!

Heeding the recommendation of a native, we visited the park while on a drive through the area. Even though it was pretty cold while we were there, the natural beauty of the park is easy to appreciate. Definitely worth checking out, even if you're not there to hike or fish.

We stopped for many photos so it took us a couple hours, but if you hike at a brisk pace w/o stops, you could do it in probably a good hour. Moderate hike. Pretty lake.

Love this quiet gem nestled in a valley outside Eureka Springs. The hiking trails are well marked and maintained nicely. The lake was calling my name with kayaks, but it was a bit windy the day I visited. We'll be back to slay some fish, hopefully! Cheers!

Love hiking the trails here! Great place to camp in cabins, to fish, to swim, to boat, hike and picnic.

My wife and I ran around the lake. We had to walk 25% of the trail and was able to run the balance. November is a great time of the year to visit this area.

My husband and I went last Saturday and we hiked about 9 miles. Range of difficult to easy trails. We really enjoyed our experience and had fun relaxing and getting away from everyday stress. Our favorite trail was the miners rock trail. Lots of rock formations and even a few sink holes.

Great 1/2 day adventures walking and hiking around the lake. The dam was a ++++ to walk across, foot traffic only, no rush. Water like fall from the flowing water++++Super day fun for whole family.

My fiance and I were on our way out of Eureka Springs back to Kansas City when we stumbled upon the Lake Leatherwood exit. The original hike we planned on taking was 2 hours outside of Eureka and we just didn't have time for it this trip. We saw the trail sign and decided to take the exit. We drove all the way to the dock area/office and saw a little trail sign to the left that read "Fuller Trail." This trail was a beautiful trail along the water's edge that had great views the entire time! Highly recommended this trail for a casual hike.

This was our favorite spot while visiting Eureka Springs. We enjoyed kayaking daily on this hidden gem. The water is very peaceful and the wildlife abundant. There is also a great trail system around the entire lake.

We hiked Beachum Trail which was 4 mile hike around the lake. Took us about 1 1/2 hrs at a nice pace. You go to one end of the lake and cross the dam, beautiful view.

We did a couple of smaller hikes at Lake Leatherwood before departing Eureka Springs. We're glad we had a chance to stretch our legs and enjoy the beauty of the area. Get a map of all the trails and enjoy. We were also impressed with the tent camping--gorgeous, private areas (lots of flat grassy areas to set up).

We visited here in July and just happened on this beautiful place. Clear clean water and lots of trails. We were going to hike however being July and with a sign at the trail head that warned of poisonous snakes, and bugs we thought better of it and decided to come back in the fall.
