I think this is the only place in the nation that has part of the building and functions for one state, and the other part of it for another state. I did not go inside, but it seemed like kind of a cool experience, just to see it.

We stopped here to break up the day's drive and it was really fun to be able to take photos with different people being in different states or standing with one foot in each state.Post Office is really cool inside too.

The kids love it because you can be in two states at one time and its nice to look around and take photos at and it has some nice old buildings

Cute, easy stop, fun lil place to see in the center of town! Had a fun time. Most stop to see! Across the street has a nice old historic church.

Need to see the old post office in downtown Teaxarkana. Go inside look at how the federal building is up stairs. Look at all the old brass po boxes. Not made like this anymore

Well if you are reading this you probably know all good and well about the neat post office in Texarkana that is half in AR and half in TX! Great sign out front where you can stand between the two states and makes for a great photo op. We saw other folks stopping for a photo or two as well. It'll make a good facebook/twitter etc... post

We'd heard about this and since we had a little extra time to kill decided to check it out. It was actually pretty neat to go there and take a few pics. It was a pretty popular thing to do as we saw several others doing exactly the same thing. Very cool.

This was a must see, and very historical. Enjoyed it so much and will take grand children to see it when we return to this area.

It was a quick and interesting site, great photo pop, other than that not much else to see or do. The city should really take advantage of the uniqueness of "standing in two states at one time" but much like everything else in this town, it was severely understated.

You are able to stand with one foot in Arkansas, and one in Texas! Quite a novelty.. There is a photographers island for pictures!

Worth the drive, really. It may seem sort of silly and an erudite person would yawn and say why bother. Oh, it is just so much fun. The post office is beautiful, for one and is built on the stateline of Arkansas and Texas. Not only is the state line there for you to straddle, there was the added surprise of some information about JFK. He had made a speech there in 1960 (who knew) and they commemorate that special time in US history. It is THE perfect place to stop with kids or alone or 2 old fogeys like me and my husband. The pictures we took were good memories.

ONe must go to this site and take a picture. one foot in Texas and the other in Arkansas. Lot of history here. Down the block is a memorial site for veterans. Go inside the building for a good look at old building.

This historical site is the heart of the ArkLaTex, in my opinion. It's unique, because it's a Federal building lying in two states. It's a location that should be on your list of things to do when you're traveling to Arkansas or Texas. Just stop by and get your photo taken while standing in both states! And while you're in downtown Texarkana, take a drive around to see the old buildings. In some ways, it hasn't changed much over the years. (They're hoping to rejuvenate the downtown area.) Regardless of what you do while you're there, you'll want to take a moment to imagine the busier days in that area of town, back when the railroads were a major mode of transportation. Also, you'll be standing where Presidents have stood.

There's not a lot to do here but if you're driving through and want a pretty good photo opportunity this is a cool place to take a pic. The state line goes right through the middle of the court house and there's a sign in front with a line down the middle of the walkway. So you can literally stand in two places at once.

The Texarkana Post Office is the 2nd most photographed building in the USA. I always find it interesting to see how border towns take advantage of their location.
