Fayetteville Square is an absolute favorite for me and my family. It's absolutely beautiful year-round...flowers bloom from early spring to late fall...and NOTHING is more fantastic than the Christmas season on the square...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

Because of unusually mild temperatures and the need for good bread, we traveled 2 hours east to one of our favorite towns. Fayetteville’s farmer’s market is the oldest in the south. Located in the city square, the vendors have a wide array of fresh vegetables, fruit, flowers, and Arkansas-made handicrafts. I even found a birthday gift for a friend who as everything. The town square is beautifully landscaped with annuals and perennials. Walk the curvy brick path and you are surrounded by lush fauna including a water feature. It isn’t unusual to hear musicians playing for tips on each corner. A particularly fun corner included couples dancing to the east and west coast swing, Lindy, and Charleston to musicians playing 20’s and 30’s tunes. What a visual and auditory treat. There are also plenty of well-behaved dogs to include local shelter dogs sporting vests which accept donations—which we gladly obliged. Next, a short walk to the Little Bread Company to buy bread, shared a bear claw, and coffee under the shaded patio. There is such a strong sense of community spirit in market square. People are friendly and laid back. Well worth a visit.

Our family planned to head to Fayettevilles beautiful downtown square before we ate dinner Saturday night. The sun was going down, the lights were coming on in the streets and the beautiful old buildings were outlined with lights on this rainy evening which made them almost magical.

The gardens are absolutely gorgeous and the Farmers' Market is the place to be for lovely fresh produce, street-corner music, kids, dogs and everyone you know or wish you knew. The mayor will give you a hug and so will many of the vendors and, of course, your friends! Stop and sip a coffee while you watch the people go by.

The Parks Dept does an excellent job of maintaining and changing the plants in the gardens around the Square. Great Christmas lightsGreat Farmers market on Sat. during Spring to Fall.

A beautiful, vibrant downtown that reflects the spirit of the community. Restaurants, farmers market, shop, galleries, and lots of smiles are the hallmarks of the Fayetteville Square.

I was in the square around noon on a Thursday, and it was dead! No one walking around, no business going on, seemed more like a Sunday or holiday. However, it is quite quaint and I could see it being a cool place to hang out, maybe more so in the summer (I was there in January). Dickson Street has free parking 5 am - 2 pm, but the Square has free parking AFTER 5 pm.

This downtown square is not the most elegant I have ever seen but it is still nonetheless quite pleasant. There are several intriguing shops and a couple of coffee and food places that are worth patronizing. Mostly, however, the square is simply a nice place to stroll and to spend time soaking in the atmosphere.

They do such a nice job of decorating for Christams. Half million twinkling lights circle the square. Pony rides. Coffee and hot drinks cart available. Good visit.

My wife and I stopped by the Fayetteville Square to view the Christmas lights after the Ole Miss game. It was a really beautiful display of lights all around the square. We also went to a farmers market on the Fayetteville Square in the early summer. It was one of the two best farmers markets I have ever attended. The other was in Whitefish, Montana. It had an excellent variety of items on display at the market.

Went to see the Christmas lights as we passed through Fayetteville, everything was decorated beautifully. I wish we had more time to explore, there are a lot of nice resturants I would have liked to have checked out.

Fayetteville town square is great for a stroll, for shopping on a fun Saturday morning, and at the holidays it is a lovely evening. Classic Fayetteville. Still a small town atmosphere of quiet, and beautiful setting.

In the summer, you can find art walks and farmers markets around the square. In the holidays, you will be delighted by the Lights of the Ozarks. Fayetteville is so beautiful, and the downtown area is lovely. If you do down Block Street, you'll find awesome businesses and Hugo's (YUM!)

We spent a little time at the Fayetteville Square after dinner one night. At the holidays, the city puts up thousands of lights for a Christmas light exhibit. It was beautiful to see and experience. There is a horse-drawn carriage for hire. In the past, there have been camel rides (I think that's on weekends only)? It's a love place to simply walk and reflect, and typically run into someone you know! I love the downtown square!

We took in the Underground Art Gallery (it not under ground though) and The Little Craft Show. Both had a eclectic variety of art by local vendors.
