cottage hill park

We attended a birthday party not long ago in Cottage Hill Park or Medal of Honor park. We like to go there to go walking, see the dog park, see softball games and there is also a tennis center over there, which is very pleasant.

This is a great park to visit if you enjoy a wilderness waking/running trail or like to watch local children play football and soccer, there is a tennis court, softball field and even a fenced area to let your dog run free. Very nice and safe.

You can stick to the paved walking paths if that's your thing or you can go through the woods. It's easy to fund your way, the tree roots are still lightly painted pink or green (left over from last year's 5K runs through the woods. Paths through the woods are somewhat eroded, so they are slightly more difficult than the paved paths. I much appreciate the park's immaculately clean restrooms.

Has a playground and track, as well as sports fields. It is generally clean - but at times has had some safety concerns.

They have something for pretty much everybody here! Trails for runners/walkers/bikers/etc, soccer fields, a playground, a disc golf course, a nice new dog park, and a lovely atmosphere overall.

If you go in the evening , it is crowded. I like the walking trail and it has a good sized park for dogs ;). Don't like tryna pass them on the trail:<.

It is a pleasure to walk, jog, run or do just about anything in this park. A 1/2 mile tree lined path gently descends to a turn around. Very welcome on hot, sunny, summer days. The 2 year old Julien Marx dog park is great for its separation of smaller and larger dogs and size of play areas. The outdoor concert venue can be a real treat for free concerts. The forested dirt trails a great for dog walking and running. Even tennis courts and a Frisbee golf course. There is not much more one could ask of a city park.

Cottage Hill Park has a spacious dog park, a challenging disc golf course, tennis courts, a football field, soccer fields, an amphitheater, and a great playground. Hiking is also available with paths going through the woods and around the fields. The dog park has separate areas for large dogs and big dogs, and the park has water fountains throughout the entire area for people and pets alike. There is always something fun going on at this park!
