Was Great. Johnnie and Judy are wonderful hosts and the camp sites are close to the "Chutes".We have been going to Bedzek's Rentals for over 20 years.

This is one of the most scenic drives near San Antonio. From I-35, take the Highway 46 exit north of New Braunfels and head west to "River Road" which is the next turn after Gruene Road. River Road is a slow ride, 25/30mph, and follows the Guadalupe River up to Canyon Lake. There are plenty of tubing opportunities if you want to get in the water, places to eat, and plenty of camping areas along the river's edge.BUT most importantly, it's the perfect windy road to take on a warm day to really enjoy a convertible or motorcycle...never gets old.

The condo we stayed in gave us tubes to use for free and our condo backed up to the river. So we walked up a little ways and got in the river and floated down to our condo everyone really enjoyed doing this. We did it a couple of times. I hope we can go back and do this again, it was really relaxing.

Like is to low for boating, Have to watch out for rocks and tree stumps. Also to many boater for the low water level

The Guadalupe River is low and slow now due to our dry summer and fall. Under the right conditions the river is a fun one for canoeing and tubing.

I unfortunately left Texas to go to university in DC, but I did this in high school, and it was so much fun. Bring some beer or smokables and it's a great time. Or sober too with the family! :)

And by "cool" I mean the water is very cool, just the thing when it is around 100 degrees outside. Current varies from slow and lazy to some faster rapids, but nothing dangerous. It is a big party location, so if you don't like crowds and alcohol consumption try to go during the week.

It is always fun to either float the river or just hang out in the water at the banks! Although I have to say if you are looking for more of a "family friendly" trip I would take the comal.

We went tubing on the Guadalupe River 15 years ago and again last year. It remains one of my favorite trips. There's a great mix of slow, lazy floating and faster rapids. Take an ice chest and spend all day floating. Great for groups and families.

Guadalupe River is great for Texas river floating with friends on hot summer days. The water is always cold and feels great. Do not forget to check what the lastest rules are for coolers and what can be taken onto the river. It is very common for there to be police check points along the float.

We had so much fun!! There was a lot of people on the river. It took us a while to get going, we would float backwards for a while lol. If you come prepared then you are good. Make sure to bring snacks, beer, and what ever else. We had a group of like 15 people. We did have to wait in line, only about 10 minutes to enter the river. It was really fun. We floated the horse shoe route. We were on the river for 7 hours. There were a few spots where one person would get out and drag the group across the shallow area. I did like the fact that there were cops in the middle of the river and checking peoples coolers to see if they had any glass. Which is really good because everybody There was a spot where everybody got out of the river. We kept floating on.. It was very peaceful and there were only like 3 groups that kept floating. Instead of like 200 groups.

Always fun times. Don't go unless you are prepared to spend all day if the river is low. The 2 hour end of the river float took us 8 hours because the water flow was almost nothing. It even went backwards in some spots. Start more up river to get a better experience and better views.

everyone who visits New Braunfels must tube the Guadalupe River! We like the horseshoe. Rent from River Sports Tubes! They are very efficient and run a smooth operation. You can tube the horseshoe all day long if you want to.

Tubing the Guadalupe is a Texas tradition. And a fun day! Please be aware - especially on holiday weekends - that the crowd is R rated. Lots of folks drinking and behaving badly. You will also want to watch the water level reports - can get kinda miserable if the water is low.If water is low, try the Comal river or the San Marcos. They're both smaller but have more reliable flow.If you have kids and it's a holiday weekend, I recommend the Comal - a much more family-friendly atmosphere. But if you like to laugh at drunk folks (or get up to some shenanigans yourself) it can be a great time. Don't forget your sunscreen. And either a designated driver or arrange for pickup and ride at the end of the float.

This was my first time floating the Guadalupe River. We put in at Whitewater, river water was cold and refreshing, however, the water was slow moving, and very shallow in many areas, and we had to walk quite a bit. Still had a great time with friends!!!
