There is a nice path around the lake. There is also a separate fenced off dog park. Some of the dog owners do not control their dogs. I have gotten knocked down. The trail is one way way so you have to turn around. It does not circle back. The only bad thing it is near the highway and you can hear the traffic at the front part of the park.

Best place to walk a dog or walk your husband. So beautiful and tranquil. Great job of keeping it up Blue Springs thanks!

Marked date of visit as this month simply because we visit ALL the time! LOL! Great walking path around the lake and great areas for fishing. The lake is always well stocked with plenty of fish that make for fun times and enjoyable fishing. Most people who use the lake are friendly and considerate and it's generally clean and well kempt.

There is a nice cement trail for over 6 miles with 2 different paths around a lake and through the woods. There is both sun and shade, neat bridges to go over, fishing spots, a dog park, park benches along the way and lots of friendly people.LOVE going jogging here with the baby in stroller or with the teenager kids.

Good place to go if you enjoy nature. Good for fishing & walking, or even a canoe. No swimming allowed, and the trail doesn't go all the way around so be ware once you get to the bridge that's a good turn back around spot. They're planning on finishing the trail to go all the way around but as of right now it's not done.

Delightful place in the city...walk, fish..has a dog park which is always fun. Paved paths are great

This is a city maintained clean, safe, beautiful park area to walk, jog or fish. I go here often. They have bathroom facilities on site, there is a covered dock, and the paved walking/ jogging paths are always clean.

I guess my only and biggest complaint is... Where's the clear blue water like in the picture? Since trip advisor had such a picture, that's what I was expecting, but its more like a normal pond/lake with a walking path around it. It was a good afternoon, but the kids got bored and I wanted blue springs.

My office sits across from Lake Remembrance in Blue Springs, Missouri, situated on the northside of Interstate 70 and just east of Adams Dairy Parkway. Besides the beauty of the 55 acre public lake offering fishing and the adjacent Dog Park, the setting draws visitors throuout the year with a steady flow people fishing, walking and walking their dogs. This park is well worth a visit if you're a nearby resident, or driving thorugh Blue Springs and want to rest, relax, stretch your legs or walk your dog during a summer road trip!

I took my kayak out on the lake today, July 7, 2013, and caught this nice, big Bass. This fishing has really picked up this summer over last years. The crappy are biting big time! You can keep up to 30 crappy per day here, any size! Bass have to be 15 inches, mine was real close. I am a catch and release angler. Come on over to Blue Springs, so some fishing, floating and hiking around the lake, and then, enjoy some of our great eateries near the lake.

No attractions per se except for the lake itself. Nice paved parking just off an outer road which is just off I70 and between two exits (you can see all of this from the I70). This is really a 'catchment' area but has been really nicely done with walking paths, fishing areas, a dog park, etc. No swimming but you can launch small boats. Big enough for some a nice workout paddling around (at least for me!).

There are fish to catch, do not expect to fill up your stringer. Besides, fishing is about being outside, by the water and relaxing. However, it is a great place to put in your kayak or canoe. No permit is needed to do so like the county lakes, $24 a year for a canoe. So, if your budget says, "ouch," to the county fee, by all means, put your kayak/canoe in at this lake. This is the only place I will go to avoid the county fee. Have met some nice folks there and have caught and released some fish. There is a nice ramp to launch your craft from too, although, you have to haul it a short ways because the ramp is closed off to vehicles.

Not sure about the fishing, but I know many people in Blue Springs, that go there to pop in and fish. There is a really neat dog park here. It is on an outer road of highway 70, so not the typical place you would find a fishing lake? I know when I first moved here in 2007 there was alot of "hype" about the new type of fishing lake this is. But I have not heard alot since, except it is so close to home for locals, but Blue Springs also has many lakes to fish.

I have visited Lake Remembrance several times and really enjoy the trails they have around the lake. My wife, my son, and I walked all the way around the lake starting from the Duncan Rd parking area. It is a fairly easy walk except for the one downfall, the trail does not connect from the Jefferson Rd parking area on the south to the trail at the corner of Jefferson and Adam's Dairy Parkway. I am not sure why this was not included in the project.Starting from Duncan Rd the trail descends to the lake shore, follows the east side of the lake, passes by the Blue Springs dog park (east side of the lake), the Jefferson Rd parking area (south side of the lake), skirts Adam's Dairy (on the west), and cross a bridge to return to Duncan (on the north)The incomplete trail is the reason for a 4 rating, not 5.
