Never thought about going to a buggy musem, but this was different. It was informative and I learned some history that was never really taught. Our guide was great, very informative about the buggies and the area. I would highly recommend viewing this.

Went here to visit with my mother about a week ago and we didn't see any prices posted outside or in the pamphlet. We had to wait about 30 minutes for the previous tour to conclude before we could enter (not a big deal) but then we got inside and still couldn't find a price list. We figured it couldn't be that much. We stood around waiting for any type of instruction and finally after 15 minutes we were instructed to view a video with a few other people so we did. When the video was over we had to wait some more and finally decided to just leave. We were bored and frustrated with the lack of instruction and organization. As we were walking out the woman leading the tours asked if we were going on the tour and I said no, we had changed our minds. We continued toward the exit and heard the women loudly tell the other gentleman working that they charge people even for coming in and doing what we did. I was very disappointed. It was very rude and uncalled for. Seriously, if you want to charge people for walking into the establishment there should be some sort of price list posted on the window, right inside the door, or anywhere other than the small display on the counter (which we noticed on the way out.) Do not encourage patrons to participate in activities without them knowing the consequences. I'm sure the tour itself is informative and entertaining, unfortunately I will never know because I will never go back to a place with ignorant employees.

This is a good example of local history nicely exhibited. Guided tours include the Snyder Visitor Center, the original buggy factory and Repository. You can just visit the Visitor's Center or take the entire tour. There are separate fees. Wall posters and copies of original photos depict the early carriage making industry in Mifflinburg and the families that operated the Coach works. There are displays of tools, horse shoes, tires, wheels, paints and account books. The Visitor Center also contains a beautifully restored carriage. The house has much of the original furnishings. It is certainly worth a visit. The complex is open Thursday through Saturday April through October and Saturdays in November, December and March.

I enjoy unusual museums full of local history. Well worth the trip! You will learn so much about buggy making.

Lots of unusual exhibits and guides who really know what they're talking about. They relate well to children and those in our group were just enthralled with their stories. Well worth a visit.
