哈罗德树木园

哈罗德树木园很漂亮。步行去Moana瀑布的要经过这,所以我建议那些去Moana的人中途停下来去那里看下。你会看到更多的花草树木。两条建议:1)有好多虫子和蚊子,苍蝇等。如果你对虫子咬伤敏感的话,我不建议你来这玩。我带着30个虫子包回来的。穿长裤子和长袖衣服,但是你可以在参观者中心换回短袖和短裤。2)如果你坐公交车去,从购物中心去Moana的公交50分钟一趟车,返回是30分钟一趟车,所以计算好时间!

这里我来过无数次了,每次来都会为这里壮观的景色感到窒息!如果来火奴鲁鲁的话,必须来这里看一看!!这里有很多条小路,有些非常刺激,你要喜欢探险的话可以来试试,哎呀,这里的好处我都说不玩,绝对值得一游!

在瓦胡岛旅游的时候,这间植物园是我最喜欢去的地方之一。那里的设施真的很棒,绝对值得在那里待上一天。还有,记得从那里的礼品店买一些特制的果酱—你绝对不会后悔的!

这绝对是世界上最美丽最让人难忘的地方!不仅仅是那些美丽的植物,还有瀑布这样激荡人心的景致,这是一个甘愿渡过一生的地方!

茂密的热带山谷值得一去,从罕见的树木到奇异的花草,从繁华盛开的灌木到非常成熟的树木,充满活力。还有瀑布和许多隐藏的秘密等待您的发现。但是就像其他好的地方一样,这里的人们让树木园好上加好。

We took the #5 bus and got off at the last stop. We walked about a half mile to the arboretum which is run by the University of Hawaii. We enjoyed hiking around the 193 acres of mature trees. I called my 97-year-old cousin who lived here 50 years ago to see if he knew of this place. He did not. If you are looking for that place to get away from it all that not many people know about, this may be your shangri-la in Hawaii.

This is a terrific hike for those who are somewhat fit, not for those with minor mobility problems. the climb is uphill most of the way, and can be slippery after a rain. The forest will surprise you with a splendid array of plants, flowers and trees. Very enjoyable!

No place better to spend a slightly rainy day than a hike in a rain forest. First there was the hike to the falls, which took about 45 minutes. Then there is a labeled side trail we took near the falls. It ends at a spectacular overlook. The trees are beautiful, trail was great, but the hike is primarily uphill. I was quite exhausted at the end of about a total 3 hour hike. We enjoyed it.

I was surprise that not too many local people know about this place. Maybe, it's a best kept secret!!!. Without the GPS, you will get lost. It's nice & quiet place.

Nice peaceful place at trail head of Manoa Falls hike. Interesting trees. nice views. Good place to contemplate. Children would be bored. Wouldn't go just for this alone. But if going to restaurant or hike, nice add on feature.

Although well managed the grounds feel as if you've just walked in to a natural setting. Lots of trails to walk. Well labeled plants. A beautiful, informative nontourist part of Oahu. Don't want to repeat M.E.A's review so read that one for details. Bring walking shoes and water. It can get warm.

We didn't have the time to take in all that is here to see and explore, but the natural beauty of the arboretum is breath-taking. I'd suggest you avail yourself of the 1 hour escorted tour if you have time. It's like stepping into another world in the tropical rainforest environs.

Truly a highlight of my visit to Oahu, maintained by the University of Hawaii, I happen to visit just before the plant sale opened and was very impressed with the variety and quality of the plants offered. The hike was well marked and informative, don't miss the Sulfer Crested Cockatoos escaped & multiplying in the rain forest.

We went to the Lyon Arboretum to do a short hike and enjoy the scenery. When we arrived, we happened to be just in time for a guided tour, which was really a private tour since there was no one else there. It was very informative and we learned much about Hawaii's native and non-native plants. The tour ended at a beautiful spot to start a hike from, and enjoy the natural beauty of the the island. It was hard to believe how close we were to Waikiki, and its hub bub, b/c it was so peaceful and serene in the arboretum. This is a good place to go when you're ready to get off the sand, out of the ocean, and away from the crowds from a little bit. It's beautiful.

Located in the very back of Manoa Valley, it's best to visit with a rental car. When you hit an impossibly rutted road, just soldier on you're on the right path. wonderful trails for wandering through the greenery. Be sure to visit the little gift shop for local souvenirs.
