Took a break after driving in to walk some along the meadow. Nice easy trail. Tons of jays flying around. Views of the meadow along the river and beside the cliffs were beautiful. There is a map you can buy with information about things along the path, but we just meandered. It was a pretty place to meander.

This was a very pleasant walk, part raised boardwalk with benches for sitting, part dirt and rock trail. You start by going across a suspension bridge over the creek, and then loop around Zumwalt meadow. Take time to sit quietly and watch the bird life show up around you, bring a picnic lunch (no littering or feeding the critters!). I can see this being really lovely in springtime, I was there in the autumn and the colors were very nice.

Postcard level beauty and easy hiking at the end of an incredible (and fairly short) drive through Kings Canyon. Not to be missed!

A short and easy loop around a pretty meadow beneath towering granite cliffs. But the trail can be linked to other trails to make the hiking more challenging and varied.

This was my favorite place in the canyon. I came here to walk, to watch the colors change in sunset and to watch the full moon rise. There is a variety of views, including meadows, the River, forrest and sheer granite walls. I highly recommend stopping by here to go for a walk to just to eat a picnic lunch.

Definitely worth the drive. Peaceful, idealic, diverse landscapes in the Sierra Mountains. Longer hike along the river, a section with rocks that may be a bit strenous for the aged.

Really enjoyable hike for us with everything to offer: beautiful meadow and peaks, gurgling and pretty river, traipsing a rockslide.

The meadow is very pretty. The trail is easy to walk on. We saw many bears in this location. On the trail and on the road.

Great for the family as it is basically level and a short loop. Lovely views at each bend in the trail. There is a partial board walk with benches for enjoying the view and good portion of the trail runs along the pristine King's river Don't forget the bug spray!

We loved walking around this trail. The scenery was stunning, and different from anywhere else we saw in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The only disappointment for us was a confusing schedule for the ranger guided walks through the trail. One schedule told us it'd be the day we visited, but the other one did not.The hike itself was easy, no major elevation change. This trail is a must if you've made your way to Cedar Grove.

Despite the glorious trees in the parks, the meadows appear to be the most tranquil and serenely beautiful of all. In their summer green glory dotted with wild flowers against the back drop of magnificent rock formations, this is perhaps the most perfect place on earth.

Easy walk through beautiful green surroundings. We even saw a bear! Downside: there are many mosquito's.

We hiked from Roaring River Falls - beautiful scenery, interesting and varied hike. Very little elevation change, a few stone steps. We saw a huge black bear near the bridge and Zumwalt Meadows parking lot. We also saw several deer. Saw very few people.

After reading other reviews here my wife and I decided to bring the kids to see how they would do on this short hike. It went great, they were a little small at almost 3 and 5 years old for the South leg which consists of a lot of granite steps and rocks but they made it through and we all had a great time. We stopped at a small rock beach near the base of the bridge and wadded into the Kings River. Other swimmers and hikers were all very friendly and this was a great stop and worth every minute of the 3 hr drive from a little south of Fresno.

Great easy hike for my kids (7 & 9). We saw two bear cubs playing along the edge of the meadow. This is about a 1.5 mile loop. About 2/3 of the loop is in a more wooded area and the rest is along a rocky ledge. Very pretty and easy walk.
