This was an amazing thing to do! I loved all the information that they gave you on all the different types of stars. Over all the sky was BEAUTIFUL and the people were knowledgable and nice.

It's a little ways out to the designated area but we honestly enjoyed the drive. We met our fellow star-gazers and were assigned to Rick. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions- even cracked a few funny jokes. We saw many different things, including Jupiter and the moon which was my favorite. He then gave us a tour of the constellations and told us a few stories. It was honestly wonderful. Definitely worth doing. He also provided us with parkas, blankets and chairs for the cold weather which was much needed and very helpful!

The unique experience here was there was enough of the stars that you can really see the constellations in the open air. It was such a different feel from a planetarium setting. Our "guide" Dave was vastly knowledgable and he made it easy to understand for the first timer but kept it interesting for experienced enthusiasts. He was patient and very nice. Going in the middle of winter it was cold, but the chairs, blankets and parkas that were big enough to fit over a heavy coat made the experience very enjoyable. The telescope viewings were truly the icing on the whole experience, I never thought I would see the Horse Head Nebula first hand (it's not what you think it would look like- but exciting all the same). Thanks guys for a great treat! I would recommend this to everyone.

We looked for a place a way from city lights, tried up dry creek road, good. Tried airport Mesa, good. We were told to watch where you get out of the car at night since the critters come out then. Didn't see any critters but the stars are amazing, we did not go to the attraction, this is a rating of the natural beauty of the sky.

I'm the most amateur of amateur astronomers, and was really excited to see the stars in a really dark sky, and have it all explained by someone who really knew what they were talking about. That's exactly what we got! Our guide, Westin, was terrific as he used a laser pointer to show off various constellations, binary stars, Jupiter and more. The telescope gave us amazing views, including a very clear view of Jupiter's moons. The night was everything I had hoped it would be, and the blankets and parkas provided kept us warm despite temps in the 30s.

It was a cold February night so make sure you bring gloves and dress warmly. We had Trevor has our guide and she was knowledgeable, patient and shared a wealth of information about the universe. A special thank you to the owner, Cliff, for accommodating our need to switch nights due to an unforeseen dinner delay for our anniversary.

we didn't even bother going to a starshow company or observatory....starting at about an hour after sunset the stars come popping out and just get brighter and brighter because of the low light in the verde valley (by design - they ar a dark sky initiative town). It is so clear and so many stars that it is hard to find any constellation or star in particular because there are so many!! You can also the the milky way stretch across the sky with the naked eye.....nature at her finest!!! and the price - FREE!

If you want to see the sky with low light interference and hear about all the constellations then this is the tour for you. If your expecting to see Jupiter in full color then your in for a disappointment. Most of the images in the telescope are just very faint grainy looking objects. You have to share it with 10-12 people...We could see two stripes in Jupiter and the storm but only in black and white. Im guessing the telescope wasnt powerful enough. It was 40 degrees and we were cold even with the jackets and blankets they provided. It took about an hour to get thru it. The coolest part for me was the ability to see nearby satellites in orbit. Could see many flying by at high speed!

No matter where you are in Sedona, the stars are BEAUTIFUL! Even right outside our suite door, we could see so many stars that we never see here unless we head for the mountains!

Just outside of town it is plenty dark. Best time is waning to new moon. You will see billions of stars. Milky Way visible late Spring to Fall time. Check star apps for times.

The stars are out in Sedona. In the sky you will have the time of your life enjoying staring out at the night sky.

My wife and I did this on vacation, cold (mid 40's), field was just watered so it was a bit wet. Very knowledgeable presentation, about 18 people with us. They provided us camp chairs, jackets, and a blanket, all of which were welcomed and needed. Constallations, history, and perspective of how big the galaxy is. 300x reflector telescope brings things close enough to actually see the stars, other galaxies, and a high point is Jupiter and it's 4 moons that are clearly seeable. Wife got to cold after 1.5 hours and went to car, mostly because the group size was to big for one telescope. Worth the time.

Really enjoyed looking at the stars. The guide seemed knowledgeable. Downside was hiking though a soggy field to get to the place. Make sure to bundle it up. It gets really cold at night.

Get outside the city a little bit and you can see some amazing celestial views. Out near Doe Mountain or Fay Canyon is our favorite spots to star gaze.

Trevor was so informative and interesting to listen to. The presentation was organized and professional. Trevor is a scientific genius and was an absolute wealth of knowledge. Fun and educational for all
