Well worth the trip from Page, or on a houseboat vacation. As the water has lowered, it has become more of a hike to get closer, but it's picturesque and well worth it. The enormity and grandeur are breathtaking, no wonder it is sacred to the natives.

Rainbow bridge is a beautiful thing to see. If you are at Lake Powell I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. From what I've heard, you can hike there or take a boat tour. I have done neither. I think the best way to get there is to drive your own boat there. Once you get there you have to go on a short hike and then you're there! Great activity!!

A previous reviewer said there are only two ways to get there, to hike or take the tour boat out of Wahweap Marina. There is a third, as mentioned in my previous review, which is a speedboat tour out of Antelope Point. The tour operator we had before has ceased to operate but there is another, offering a similar package. Cost is about twice the larger boat but the time is about half and it is a "private" tour for up to 6 people. Cost is per trip, not per person. To us the time savings and the lack of a crowd around you, plus the possibility to visit in the afternoon when the light is better, was worth it. You can contact Bonnie at bpryor@apmlp.com.

Allocate a day, plan ahead, reserve and visit this amazing place. The tour company was really taking care of their passengers. Complimentary beverage, trail bar, water bottle for the hike etc. Worth every penny

It is an easy hike to this wonderful natural bridge. You get a real perception of its size when you see people walking under it. There are only two ways to get there; hike or by boat; we took the boat tour from the Wahweap Marina in Page. It was awesome!!!

We went on the boat trip off season, October 29. Perfect, weather was great, passengers were minimum so we had time to explore Cascade canyon. Had the Rainbow bridge to ourselves with plenty of time to enjoy.

It took us around 5-6 hours on boat. Very exciting experience. Take the first boat to visit this place as morning time ambient light will give ample photo opportunity on the way. But the sun will be on top when you will reach there. If you can rent a boat and go there late evening then the pictures will be much different.

We did the 7-hr Rainbow Bridge Cruise out of Lake Powell Resort at Wahweap Marina. One of our more expensive outings, but well worth it. Boat ride was about 2.5 hours each way -- really interesting to watch how the character of the canyon and the rock formations kept changing. We were allotted 1.5 hours on the ground. The less than one mile walk was very lovely, and would've been a worthwhile trail even without the bridge as the main attraction. A park ranger met us at the arch, and was available to answer any questions. My husband and I had brought a picnic lunch, which we enjoyed in the shadow of the arch -- not realizing it was only about 10:30 in the morning. Which explains why everyone else ate their lunch on the boat. Coffee and lemonade and apples and granola bars were available on the boat, and everyone was given a bottle of water at the start of the walk. This was a really nice way to see a good stretch of Lake Powell, and Rainbow Bridge.

My Mum and I took a 6 to the Rainbohour boat trip and walked in to the Rainbow Bridge. A 20 min walk not too difficult. The scenery going in was brilliant stunning buttes and mesas. A sight to behold. Well worth the trip.

We called ahead and were told we could get permits at the Glen Canyon visitors center(s.) Not at Wahweap. Not at Antelope Point. At Antelope Point we were told we only needed our national parks pass to get to Rainbow Bridge. That was not what we had read on line, so I didn't want to break the law. We went to LeChee. We couldn't find the office. Oh well. No visit to Rainbow Bridge. We found other things to do.

We did the full day sail from Lake Powell Marina . If you have the time and physical fitness I am sure hiking in would bring more rewards. The way in was full of interesting and attractive scenes and the commentary from the tour and captain of the ship informative and timely. The bridge itself is REALLY big.We did not visit Arches NP this trip but it certainly dwarfs any thing there. the way back slightly tired and through the same scenery was slightly boring until the weather changed Black clouds and heavy rain and as we neared the harbour a small boat with a motor that would not start . So we hung around until the Coast Guard cutter was on its way. By the time we reached dock the sun was shining.

We took the boat tour out of Wahheep Marina, when we got to Rainbow Bridge were told we had a mile & 1/4 walk to Rainbow Bridge. We elected not to walk as we had seen this monument previously .. at one time when the water was high you could see Rainbow Bridge from the Boat! The majority of the passengers did the round trip walk and were pleased.

We took the boat trip from Lake Powell Resort and thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Before arriving at Rainbow Bridge you pass some amazing scenery. When you dock, you have a 20 minute walk to the bridge which is awe inspiring as it comes into sight.
