Been here twice with visiting family - great experience for all involved from the 9yrs old right up to the 72yr old & including one member of the group in a wheelchair. Very well presented exhibitions, very clean facilities, nicely stocked gift shop & all in worth every penny.
An interesting and interactive exhibition. I particularly liked the ride and the use of projections and sounds clips. Lots to learn about a part of history most people will think they are familiar with.
We were really looking forward to visiting this as Titanic enthusiasts, however we were a little disappointed. There was a lot about the building of the ship and about Belfast before it was built. There was far less about the actual sinking etc. than we had expected. The 'ride' through the construction site was a bit out of place and didn't really bring anything to the party. I saw children getting quite board as I went round. There was lots of reading and little 'interaction.' We were waiting for the WOW factor but it never came and we left quite disappointed.
There are lots of reviews here but was a bit worried about whether it would be suitable for kids as I couldn't find much on that before hand so I'll just focus on that! Went with my uncle and his 3 kids aged from 2.5yrs to 8yrs, it was interesting for us and the kids enjoyed it too! They had sheets for the kids with a quiz on one side for the older kids to answer questions as they went around and on the other side was for younger kids which even the 2.5yr old enjoyed, where they had pictures around and they had to tick off when they found them, these were well placed and frequent enough which kept them busy! Afterwards the kids handed in their pages and got certs which they really enjoyed! They also had a clay area where the kids could make clay pieces and a colouring section, they enjoyed this too! There's a ride too, which is suitable for all ages and not fast at all!We hadn't booked in advance but this wasn't an issue, we went on Sunday the 15th of Feb in the morning. There's a food area too!
Nothing will prepare you for this experience. If you thought you knew all about Titanic, think again. Loads of information and your interest never wanes.
We spent 2 hours and didn't get to see the whole exhibit. We could have spent at least 2 more hours.
Phenomenal experience and emotional regarding the individual pen pictures of those who succumbed. Thoroughly planned and fantastically laid out. Tremendous customer service who helped me out with a miscommunication during booking. Definately will return.
Didn't bother ordering tickets in advance and didn't have any problems. Spent about 2 hours in total wandering around the exhibits. Got the handheld audio guide but found that there was no need for it as everything was explained as you went along. Very interesting displays and well worth the visit
ordered tickets online as read reviews this was the best thing to do, got there but wasnt that busy. there was a part of the tour where we got to go on a wee ride and showed you the men at work which was quite good! Was also a room where when you looked down was like you were standing on top of the ocean looking down at Titanic- which was really brilliant! only thing i was disappointed about was that the Clock was off limits said that you could only go there for afternoon tea which was shame.
The Titanic Experience at Belfast was an amazing day out! Don't want to give too much away but you will be glad you went as you experience everything from the Harland and Wolf drawing rooms to the building and fitting of titanic. Would recommend the discovery walking tour also and you can get a combo ticket.Dont forget to keep you ticket and as you come out on floor four there is a machine that scans your ticket and prints you a "titanic ticket" like the people would have received when travelling ...great keepsake!
