Small information office but plenty of free material to help you get the best out of your visit to Dijon.

All the staff speak multiple languages and they were efficient and helpful. We were warned which museums were closed on a Tuesday (it seems Tuesday is not a good day there is a lot closed) given a map and the lady explained how to use the Owl Trail map.Worth visiting before you go walking.

The tourist office staff provided us a lot of information for our bike trip, smiling and wishing us a pleasant time in Bourgogne!

The staff near Darcy were very helpful and spoke English well we were after a Wine Tour and the lovely young Asian girl was patient and knowledgeable and we were very confident that we had made the correct choice

How do you rate a tourist office honestly ? Well all can say is the staff all speak multiple languages, and have all the info you'll need at their fingertips. There's simply too much to see and do in this stunning city so getting their help is probably your best decision

The staff was very helpful at the tourism office. Made great recommendations for our visit and even called a taxi for us. The Segway tour is a nice way to discover Dijon with teenagers.

Very informative tour of this beautiful city. My only gripe is that I was told it was an English speaking tour, which it was, however as I was the only English speaking person on the tour, most detailed explanation was in French, with minimal English translation. I felt I didn't get the full story. Very charming guide though.

We interacted with staff at both the office at the Gare de Dijon and the Old city office. Nothing but praise for the staff as they were very competent and a pleasure to interact with. They advised about guided walking tours of Dijon and assisted with practical advice such as how to use the tram to travel to our hotel from the train station. We agreed that the visitors' map is pretty useless within the Old city, as images of specific sites cover street names making navigation a challenge. While the larger font size on the map reduces the need for reading glasses it also complicates the situation and reduces the usefullness of the map. Perhaps a replacement map could indicate the location of major sites by grid references, making it a much more useful reference for visitors.Note, if you need supplies while visiting Dijon in a Sunday get them early in the day as the town really does close for business after lunch on Sundays.

The staff at the train station office were helpful. While promoting wine tours, they still printed out the regional bus’s timetable after we requested it for visiting the villages in the Côte de Nuits. We signed up the city walking tour with the downtown office and walked away with much more than the history of Dijon. Despite our group is French speaking group, the engaging guide did not fail to attend to our needs. She patiently explained everything in English to us. In addition to an informative architecture walk, she also introduced us to Dijon’s gastronomic culture. We learned about Dijon’s less known treasure in the pain d'épices and local favorite recipe: pain d'épices with soft goat cheese and blackcurrant paste. The walking tour lasted longer than expected. As a result, we missed the following Tour Philippe Le Bon .The staff came to our assistance and validated the tickets till the next day. The Tour turned out to be an unexpected surprise as well.

Ironically the tourist office was hard to find, but once we had finished circling the building a couple found some people as confused as us and thus found the Tourist Office. Staff very helpful and the office seemed to be part of an awesome chapel!

Some french tourist offices can be less than helpful but this one is terrific. They speak good English and put up with our terrible attempts at speaking french. They took the time to find out how long we would be in Dijon and what our interests were before giving all sorts of information, including a free book and map on the wine trails.

We found the staff friendly and very helpful. They provided us with everything we needed for our stay and also booked us on a great wine tour for the following day. Instructions were clear and we would recommend a visit.

We stopped in to the tourist office to get general information to help us with our two-day stay here. The young lady who was "helping" us not didn't give us much information (e.g. we overheard another staff member tell others that many museums were closed on Tuesdays, one of the days we were in Dijon, but the person helping us didn't mention that even though we were asking about museums). Plus she gave us misinformation (she said one museum was open that was in fact closed). And then she got very rude in her response when we asked a question that she considered herself to have already answered. Other staff may have been more helpful and friendly, but the person we dealt with was actually rude. The printed information, however, is fine, as is the Owl Tour, a self-guided walking tour that can be purchased for about 3-4 Euros at the Tourist Office. If I were just reviewing the staff, it would have gotten a "poor".

We went on a walking tour through the Tourism Office last May. We chose the English tour. But there were more French speaking than English speaking visitors on the tour. So to our annoyance the guide wanted to speak in French and have another visitor translate for us. This didn't work because the person chosen didn't want to waste his time translating and to be fair it wasn't his job. So we insisted she speak in English as well. She complained that it took longer and kept asking us if we wanted to leave because we must be tired. At one point she turned to us and said the tour is over you may leave so we did. Only to look back and see that the rest of the group was still with her and she was still explaining things!
