This is a beautiful walk along the cliff top, curving round the coast.Believe the idea of it was thought up by the local Lapta mayor.Looking inland one can see the beautiful scenic cliffs of the sandstone mountains about a couple of miles away.It is very relaxing to be able to walk along the coast and on a clear day look out to sea and sea the coastline & mountains of Turkey. It is used by many of the locals as well as the `commiunity of (mainly) retired ex Pats and other nationalities. There are seats along the walk,so if one feels like sitting down for a rest or to see the view,it is possible, and it is never crowded.Only fault I see is that the land along the landside of the walk is bare and if planted with either small trees or shrubs would add to the beauty of the walk as well as mask the blocks of apartments which have sprung up.

Very very hot but some great restaurants along the way. But do wear a hat and take water it was 40 degrees when we were there!

This is a nice quiet walk along the coast path for about a mile or two ending (or beginning) on the little Sardunya Cove. It's good for power walking or just a chat and lazy time stopping at the super little cafe half way overlooking the sea.

A lovely walk and Ziggy at the cafe provides a smiling welcome and free pastry and a cold tangerene. We saw a rainbow out at sea and enjoyed the views . Thanks to Robert 740 and his review otherwise we wouldn't have found it. Like many places we came acccross the sign posts and maps are difficult to follow. The blue house near Camlebell and Buffaventi castle were a struggle to find but lovely to visit. Karmi is another hard to find but lovely village.

We have watched this being built and thought what a good idea, a walk along a lovely stretch of the coastline. Our favourite time is early in the morning and you can see some amazing sun rises. It would be ideal for dog walking but dogs are banned! Such a shame. A nice walk though ending at Sardunya Bay.

What a lovely walk at last, someone in the Belediyesi has got it right now we just have to get the people to take their litter home with them - nearly there! What a great achievement by the Belediyesi.

This is a little advertised coastal walkway in Lapta, North Cyprus. Start from the Wild Duck on the main coast road and take the small tarmac road opposite. At T junction turn right and sharp left, follow tarmac road to end and turn right, following signs for coastal walk. This brings you to a small car park and the beginning of the paved walkway. It stretches for about 1.8Km up to Sardunya Bay, with amazing sea views towards Kyrenia. There is no shade, but plenty of benches along the way if you wish to rest. As you near the end of your walk, a small white kiosk can be seen, and this is an ideal opportunity to stop and rest, have a cup of tea or coffee, water or beer, and a snack . The owner is a local man who cannot do enough for you, from supplying face wipes, free water, free pastries and free fruit. This is a small oasis along your walk where you can sit under his umbrellas and pay small amounts for tea/coffee, whilst chatting to the owner and enjoying the magnificent views. There is also a spotless toilet free to use. If you then continue for another 200M you reach the end of the walk, overlooking Sardunya bay and beach bar with a small sandy beach and unfinished hotel.
