This is a marvellous new classical building but, as it is located just behind the Amazonas Theatre, with many trees in leaf, it gets a bit hidden and runs the risk to be not appreciated. Pay attention!!!

The building is closed due to indecision as to what it can be used for. Really worth looking at the massive statue on the roof. It was commissioned from France to show a blind woman holding the balanced scales of justice. The rubber baron's had it altered by the artist and she has no blindfold and her scales are tipped to one side (a sign of the power they controlled over the people)

The palace of justice is worth checking out if you have some extra time in Manaus, especially if you have any interest in the History of the area. It was free when we were there, yet we still had a guided tour in english and were taken to some rooms where important court decisions took place throughout Manaus' history. The collection of swiss clocks is pretty cool (and rare!) as well.

Creepy room that featured one of the murder cases in Brasil - that was the most interesting place in this building. Nothing much else.

The Palace of Justice is another great example of the great architecture during the rubber period (1920's & 1930's) in Manaus.We were not able to access the building so were somewhat disappointed.

Despite the very hot and humid weather we are glad we made the effort to see this wonderful building from the late 19th Century.It is open from 1300 - 1700 on Tuesday - Friday, and 1700 - 2100 on Sundays.We arrived around 3.30 and were told we could have an English tour at 4pm; as an extra bonus the tour, and entry are free.Our guide was particularly knowledgeable about the building, its past use and history and spent plenty of time in each room giving a description and answering questions.It is a great pity that the building is no longer in use, but thankfully it has been maintained to reflect its past glory.

Situado atrás do teatro Amazonas, o palácio da justiça tem linda faixada. Seu projeto eh belíssimo. Não eh possível vir a Manaus sem conhecer o teatro Amazonas e o palácio da justiça... Belíssimo local!

Palácio da justiça é um lugar lindo, parece um museu e sem tem um pouco da história do Amazonas, monumento histórico e de muito bom gosto.

Assim como não é possível ir em Manaus e não entrar no Teatro Amazônas, deixar de visitar o Palácio da Justiça seria um pecado. Localizado logo atrás do Teatro, a Arquitetura imponente e majestosa nos convida a subir suas escadarias. A visita guiada é bem interessante! Recomendo!

Al igual que las mayorias de las estructuras arquitectonicas de Manaus el Palacio de Justicia es inmenso, abarca casi una cuadra del centro de Manaus, los oficiales son amables y se persibe un ambiente de antiguedad inigualable.

Uma bela construção atras do Teatro Amazonas. Fácil acesso. Não viste o interior, porém dizem que vale a pena conhecer. Outro passeio fácil e deve ser colocado na lista de quem vista Manaus.

Do Barroco ao clássico e neo-clássico este palacete que foi sede do Tribunal da Justiça do Amazonas hoje abriga um centro cultural. O que chama mais a atenção neste prédio é além da beleza dos traços arquitetônicos uma estátua em sua fachada. Têmis, a deusa grega da Lei e Justiça está, ao contrário do usual, com os olhos desvendados e em sua mão esquerda a indefectível balança, porém, pendente para um dos lados.

Local para se visitar com certeza...Construção bonitaCom artes bem esculpidas...Como toda cidade que tem seu palácio da justiça não seria justo ir a Manaus e não visitar.Super recomendo tambem

O Palácio da Justiça, onde foi por anos o Tribunal do Estado do Amazonas, é hoje um museu e ponto cultural. Faz par com o teatro como prédios do auge da borracha. A Deusa da Justiça, no topo do prédio, não tem a venda nos olhos que a caracteriza em outras esculturas. A justiça aqui tem olhos bem abertos?

um local excelente para se conhecer um pouco mais a fundo toda a parte histórica e de arquitetura urbana de Manaus em um ambiente agradável.
