I had the pleasure of visiting this Aug and had another incredible visit!! Though the greens were not the best, they made up with hospitality. We got 8 rounds in so nothing was going to set us back in enjoying the beautiful views of Mount Curry while hitting off luscious fairways (when I hit a few ). I'm glad to hear Big Sky will be getting new greens in 2015 and can't wait to come back for my yearly summer must !!

I have traveled all over the world, and when I come to big sky and sit on the patio I still think the view from here is the most beautiful in the world! The food is great, and the view is spectacular!

Probably the best golf course from nearby Whistler, BC. The 35 minute drive is well worth the effort. The course may be walked but be aware it may be quite a bit warmer at Pemberton than at Whistler. Course is set in the valley appearing to be directly against the mountains. The holes appear to be much more wide open than they play. Generous use of water with attractive green complexes. This is a tournament course which is easily played as a resort course. Great fun and a beautiful location.

The setting for the gold club is beautiful: hard up against the mountains with the greens and lake providing beautifully contrasting scenery. And we saw an osprey circling for dinner. Food was poor, though

This is a premier layout but hard hit by a unique winter freeze not different than effects on the three Whistler courses. The course is still very playable and the views and scenery unparalleled.

Thank you for your concern with our greens this past season. We do not deny the fact that our course endured some hardship coming out of the winter. They were definitely not up to our Big Sky standards. We hope you will be able to join us again, as we will be putting in new greens this coming season, among other improvements to our course. We drove 2+ hours from Vancouver to play Big Sky which we had heard so much about from fellow golfers. We are from US. Lovely clubhouse and very friendly staff. We had also heard that the course was hard hit during the winter. That was apparent. Greens were rough. But the views and design made up for the condition. Each hole was different. Nothing tricky or cute. Very playable but you have to place at times. Glad to have played. Not sure about driving so far to play. But if you are in the Whistler area, sure, give it a go. Oh, also was told it could be 10 degrees warmer in Pemberton. Good or bad depending when you play....

Seated in a valley surrounded by snow capped peaks. meandering water hazards with herons and ducks. Fairways were well groomed and in good shape. Greens were predictable and challenging without being insanely hard (I'm looking at you Chateau Whistler!!) Trees open underneath to find lost balls. Not too intimidating for average golfers. Nice clubhouse and driving range. A bit of a trip to get to, but I guess thats why its so nice; hard to find that great of a spot close by a city anymore. Half an hour from Whistler, two and a half from Vancouver.

Played here today and what a lovely course! Stunning backdrops with wide fairways and lots of water. Play straight and the course is Heaven deviate and you can be In all sorts of problems! But what friendly people staffing the course and in the Pro shop and the best Ladies selection of golf gear I've seen in Canada! No GPS but some fairway yardage markers to greens. Would definitely play here again!

Went there on locals day, which was opened to all British Columbians--Wednesdays $65 including cart. This was a great deal. Course in excellent condition, with some ugly dry spots on some greens. Prepare to lose lots of balls in the long grass which lines many fairways and greens. No GPS on carts.

A great experience that filled the day. The golf was testing, but not too overwelming. The staff was congenial and helpful. the food was tastful and served with style.

I was looking forward to playing Big Sky again for the first time in a few years and was terribly disappointed by the shape of the greens. Several are in such bad shape that you are essentially putting over dirt from some directions. Very unpredictable and unexpected for a relatively high green fee.The layout is great - a perfect challenge - and the scenery is spectacular but with the current condition of the course there is no way I will go back until things improve. Our group played Whistler GC and Nicklaus North all in the same weekend and there was no question this was the worst of the bunch. Most expensive too. I am not sure why anyone would make the drive to Pemberton for the rest of the summer. Call ahead for an honest assessment of conditions before booking a tee time.
