美洲大教堂

经典大气的建筑，尤其是选用的石料，好特别，像是海底的岩石，好有岁月感。难能可贵的是，在这个中美洲国家的教堂，竟然有中文解说！值得一游。

这个宫殿建立的时间大概是在1500年代初,而且这的所有建筑风格和细节全都是非常悠久古老的,我们来这里参观并不是跟团,而是花了3元门票进来的,这里的所有参观向导的解说语言都是英文。这个建筑已经非常古老古旧了,有着十分悠久漫长的历史年头。这一切真是让人连声感概。

这个教堂就像是在加勒比海岸的一片欧洲风情。教堂很小,但是维护的很好。我们没有进去,因为我们去的时候他们正在这里举行一种军事仪式——我不太了解。但是单从外面观赏就很漂亮了。

人们在游览的时候永远不会知道会发生什么。圣多明各的大主教和大教堂都没有网站,所以不打电话就不能做来这的打算-如果有人愿意接电话。之前去过那,进门的时候向我收费,但后来才知道是因为有展览。但没有海报宣传,没有任何信息告知游客。考虑到这个朝拜的地方是世界遗产殖民区重要的一部分就特别地失望。

这一切......彩色的玻璃窗很漂亮,颜色鲜艳欲滴.......它是一座古老的艺术品博物馆.......这些可能是复制品的,但是真的很漂亮......只是宏伟的大教堂过真的很美,拥有历史沉淀下来的魅力与深度,真的很爱。

我一直很欣赏古老的文化建筑。尽管在一个“礼拜日”它是关闭的,等我到这里的时候,从外面看,还是很美得。想象一下,一个大教堂却在“礼拜日”关闭?

Worth the time. Audio tour is very informational. Lots of history and interesting to see all the artifacts and stories behind them.

I purchased the audio and enjoyed wlking to each of the side chapels and other stations. At each small side chapel the narrative was accompanied by appropriate music in the background.

Worth stopping by, lots of history, has a pretty good audio tour. For those who come in shorts/with open shoulders they even give scarfs instead of turning down.

when your in the DR it would be a shame to miss one of the most historically significant sights of the religious area.. the first of its kind in the americas.. really a spectacular sight to see.. its not as overwhelming as some other historical sights in the world.. but this being the first in the region makes it all the more special to see.

If you visit DR it's important to know about his history and emblematic constructions, as it says Where everything began!!

The cathedral is very historical and a good place to visit. You can enjoy the square in front of it.

That's about it......Catedral Primada De America.......pretty barren.....Columbus' remains are now in the Faro a Colon......lots of people, but very little to see....they do have public restrooms in the buildings to the left as you enter.

We visited on a day trip to santo Domingo. Beautiful church. We could not go in because it was Sunday snd they were having a special mass. But it was beautiful.

Nice church to visit, not much to see but is good to learn about it.From here walk to zona colonial, calle de las damas, fort ozama and alcazar de colon. Then take a taxi to park of the three eyes, colombus lighthouse and then to malecon for lunch at Adrian tropical.
